Post-apocalypse Runner Five facts literally nobody asked for
A continuation to this post because I feel lonely and unloved and I appreciate all you lovely people who take the time and actually read it you're all very kind and I love you all.
(I'm probably just hella tired but still)
- When she got to Abel, she didn't talk to anyone for days. Kept away from any sort of interaction other than necessary or pushed upon her (first few eps). When she finally started communicating, it was because (surprise-surprise) Sam sat down to talk to her.
- She damaged her vocal chords in the crash, so she can't talk under physical pressure such as running. If she uses her voice a lot, she risks losing it forever, so she learned ASL from a guy in Abel and keeps her voice for "just in case" scenarios and to talk to Sam while staring at the sky. (Which I love very much because hello, serious social anxiety here, I don't talk well to people, especially strangers so I really admire that Five goes so far without saying a word ever)
- She was known the most fearless person ever in post-apocalypse time until she met Moonchild.
- (surprise surprise) she has a softspot for Sam and despite what she says, she doesn't trust anyone else but him.
- After Moonchild, she often got nightmares and heard her voice, which kept her up. She refused to show any signs of weakness to others, except Sam when he found Five on the roof staring at the sky.
- Simon was her meme-buddy and they recreated vines to have fun
- People only saw her cry 3 times. 1) after she got back from Moonchild. 2) After what happened to Sam in season 4 (I don’t really want to spoil that I think everyone knows what I mean). 3) probably on a party night when someone put on You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi
- After Archie's death, she wore her hair in a braid for a long time to honor her, in her own way, because Archie was her other softspot.
- Once Sam thought she was a zombie. It was just that time of the month and well... stomach ache. It's bad. You get it. Or you don't. Whatever.
- Thinks by running laps around the training center or the township
- Really wanted to get to know or just simply talk to Jack and Gene, and is a constant listener, would give her life for their relationship
- She loves the smell of rain and loves to run when the ground is still wet
- Low-key depression starting from the middle of season 4 but she’s working through it.
- before her runs, she warms up, and kind of just jumps from one leg to another while adjusting her clothes. She often fidgets with her clothes just because she has no idea what to do with her hands, she used to chew her nails so now that she doesn’t do that anymore she is just sort of like “what do I do with these”.
