Over the years I've heard people say things like, "Jungle is dead" or "Jungle is coming back". I feel like all those fools got it twisted like an amen. I say Jungle is Forever! It's been here the whole time, and it ain't leavin. I made this mix to prove that fact. This is a time line mix. It starts in 1993 and ends in 2013. It includes one song from each year, is mixed chronologically, and features some of my very favorite selections. I also wanted to highlight important influential artists, labels, and tunes that anyone interested in Jungle should know about. There is so much more to discover though! Never stop digging. The format of the mix made it challenging and fun to program. It was recorded in Logic using two turntables, a mixer, headphones, and 21 vinyl discs(20 jungle tunes, and the James Brown record I used to scratch in a couple parts.) Enjoy the mix, and share the love. Jungle is Forever!! Thank you, ZSonic Tracklist: YEAR - ARTIST - "TUNE(VERSION)" - LABEL 1993 - DJ Massive - "Enter The Bad Boy Part 2" - Labello Blanco 1994 - Mental Power - "Cool 'N' Sexy" - Formation Records 1995 - Remarc - "R.I.P.(Remarc Remix)" - Suburban Base Records 1996 - JMJ & Flytronix - "In Too Deep" - Moving Shadow 1997 - Tertius - "Miracle Switch" - Renegade Recordings (Rawkus Primitive) 1998 - Ed Rush/Optical - "Satellites" - Virus 1999 - Mocean Worker - "Heaven @ 12:07(Technical Itch Remix)" - Palm Pictures 2000 - Dieselboy - "Invid" - Palm Pictures 2001 - Pascal - "Turn It Over" - True Playaz 2002 - Manifest ft. ** Here are my thoughts. Deep moombahton rules your face. Scroll down to read the full SC description. One last thing that I will add is that you are not in fact hip if you listen to this album and decide it's not worth your time. But you knew that...loser **
It was a spring day in the year 2011. ZSonic awoke and bathed in the waves of the morning sound. His ritual was interrupted by the cry of a babe. Drawn to it's rhythmic and surprisingly low tone, he began searching for it's source. He found a basket near the edge of the water. Inside the basket was a boy of unclear descent, like Keanu Reeves. He had a label stuck to his forehead, "Moombahton". ZSonic knew with the right training the boy would grow to be a great warrior, fond of balloons and balloon-shaped things. ZSonic trained him at the Sonic Temple, a secret underground sound dojo in one convenient locations. In Africa. He educated him with jazz and funk records, and taught him the ancient sub bass techniques. When Z could teach the boy no more, he sent him to Indonesia to complete his training with the great Samurai, Ginger Shinobi. Ginger, using his deadly networking technique, quickly made the boy a master, and a man(not in "that" way). The Ultrasonic Being is now ready to travel the sound waves of the world and defend all people's ears and bootys, making the dance-floor a sexy place where every one can get down. This mix was recorded in one take via serato scratch live and two vinyl disc players. All tunes written and produced by ZSonic. Huge thank you to BDR Dancefloor and all the music supporters world wide!!! Tunes 1.)ZSonic - "Ultrasonic Being" 2.)ZSonic - "Blizzard in the Temple" 3.)ZSonic - "Laughing Meditation" 4.)Zsonic - "Jazz Acid"
