Any good resource references for caring for wild spiders? It gets extremely cold here in a few months and I was thinking of taking one in (if that's even advisable) after IDing it and making sure I could feed/house it safely. If this is just straight up a bad idea, I will not do it, lol!
Not necessarily a bad idea, although be aware they may die due to old age even if you do take them indoors before it gets cold! And some species do better in captivity than others. I don’t have any specific resources since I’ve never looked into keeping wild spiders myself, but I’d recommend arachnoboards in general. Seems like any bug you can keep, someone there has done it and has shared what they know about how to do it! If you let me know which species you plan to keep, if you know, I may be able to point you in a more specific direction for good information.
