Doroon: DURNIK! Garion is in the lake and I don’t think he’s waterproof!
Durnik: What?
Zubrette: He means Garion’s drowning.
Durnik: Oh, okay…
Durnik: Wait, WHAT?!

Who is Nahi's tailor? We must know
Nahi stepped up to a shop that had one small window filled with some beautiful hand-tooled jewelry, in two larger ones were the most exquisite gowns, some with jeweled backs that she could tell was created by the same hand as the lovely pieces on display. The shop was a far cry from the dressmaker’s boutique in Dalaran, but so were many of the merchants finding new locations in Silvermoon.
Opening the door, she was greeted by a petite apricot blonde woman with bronze and blue gems braided in two lines along the side of her head, a small splattering of freckles dusted her nose and a bright smile warmed her expression and Nahi had the impression that the smile had been there before Nahi came in. “Welcome! Are you here for Landannis?”
Making her way to where the woman was working, she was curving golden wire and stringing beads on it, a lovely mix of sizes and colors. “That is beautiful, I like the flow of it.” Nahi leaned forward to see some of the pieces on display, then saw one of the jeweled backs Landannis Goldensorrow had been becoming known for in the last thirty years. “Ah, you are and special talent he spoke of. Nahilvi, nice to meet you,” she extended a hand out, the other woman wiping her hand on a towel then shaking it.
“The singer, right? The Silver Banshee? I am Zubrette, his niece, and yes, I am a special talent. Anyone that meets me can tell you so.” The tone was amused and not sarcastic, though a hint of that ran under the tone, not in a bad way, just that of a person that used it often.
Nahi chuckled, “I might have heard that once or twice myself.”
A masculine voice carried from behind Nahi and she turned with a smile. “Landannis, I am so glad I heard you opened a place here. I was worried that the fall would cripple your work, I knew you had survived but all your stock and fabrics.” She had spent many hours in his shop, he had been her mother’s favorite tailor so a lot of her youth was spent in his fitting rooms while he dressed Acendalia.
“My little Nahi.” Landanis said stepping towards her, he was dressed impeccably as one would expect from a fashion designer, deep blue pants with a silver thread running through them, a crisp white shirt with gathers at the wrists giving him a slight ‘dandy’ look and a black vest. His black hair was pulled up into a bun that was held in place by ebony sticks that blended in almost perfectly, “I had heard you have been performing again, Lady Sulas came in telling me she had heard you on an estate in Suramar.” Stepping to her a masculine appraising gaze slid over her choice of simple tan pants and a red ‘Fangbreaker’ concert tee that had the sleeves and lower half cut off, from at least four inches above her. The man was tall but her recent company made that difference seem minimal. “I hope that band is talented enough to be advertised on your gorgeous body.”
Some might take the designer as homosexual, or at least bi, by his slightly flamboyant nature or his profession, but Nahi knew better, she had seen the ladies that would come out from ‘special fitting sessions’ with satisfied looks that were not from the gown they had purchased. He had never attempted seduction with her mother, not that she would have noticed that he wanted more than just to offer her the adoration she deserved in her mind. There had been a flirtation between Nahi and him that had extended for decades, but as attracted as she was to him, she had never wanted to feel like just another face in a crowd.
“They are,” she replied simply, she would never mention that one of the only men she had ever had a full blown crush on in the Prince’s court was in it, and much to her dismay, did not even recognize her, a true dagger to her ego for a bit, now she just took her time to admire his beauty on stage and when they would talk when she purchased things from him when he and his partners were vending. “One of my favorite groups, in fact.”
Zubrette spoke from behind her, “They rock, I have heard them more than once and I always look for their performance flyers.”
Violet eyes met golden ones that were as bright as the sun, “I know their schedule by heart, I can write down what they are already booked for if you would like.”
“I have promised to take Dannis to hear music other than his stuffy choices.” The jeweler said with a grin at her uncle.
The man shot a warm look at the tiny woman, “I made her go to the opera and the symphony in exchange, the stage would have been better graced by your mother.” He had actually loved listening to her mother, his eyes had narrowed when he would see the abuse Nahi suffered at her sharp tongue but never said anything, just offered a sympathetic look, the same one she got from many that interacted with her mother when Nahi was around. It was not their fault so she had chosen long ago to not let bitterness fall on them as easy targets, that was her mother’s nature, not her own. “I have heard you perform, of course, I have insisted that she and her partner come with me to see you. Count Vidroth sent tickets to Duchess Ferqulann’s ball next week along with his note that he was taking care of the cost of your dress.”
Of course Jes’champe had, she would be on his arm when she was not performing. “I will enjoy seeing you there, and I hope I do not disappoint.”
He took her arm and escorted her to the back, “Come, let me find you a dress that will disappoint no one.”

Belgariad 30 Day Challenge, Day 5: Least Favorite Female Character
Meh. Aside from the obvious antagonists, I really don't dislike any of the main females. But overall, I really dislike Islena. I mean, she's kind of cool in Castle of Wizardry, but overall, I just find her annoying. Also Zubrette just needs to go die in a hole. No one tries to mess with my OTP. Nobody.
