The sound of ticking filled the dark room. Cars in the distance were loud, busily rushing by. You lay on the soft matress, warm blankets covering your curvy form. Your gaze drifted beside you. Childrens toys were placed next you. Lifting yourself up you observed the room you were in. The walls were painted pink, a clock hung from the wall, white cabinets were against the wall, a large dolls house was placed in the corner and a white fluffy rug was layed out on the floor. You rested your feet on the floor, pulling yourself up and slowly walking around the room. Your hand wrapped around the door knob, twisting it in hope of it opening. It was locked. You sighed and sat on the rug. Of course it is locked. He always locks it. The door knob rattled and made you gasp. “Sweetie. Why are you on the floor?” You looked down at the floor, avoiding eye contact. “Tell daddy. Are you upset about somthing?” You sighed. He was not your real dad. This man has made you call him daddy from the first day he took you. He took you from your home while your little brother slept, and while your dad was at work. He leaned down and placed a hand on your leg, rubbing it softly. “I want to go outside.” You whispered as a tear rolled down your cheek. He sighed and shook his head. “I have told you. You can’t go outside. It’s not safe. They will take you.” “No one will take me.” You looked up allowing eye contact. “I…I promise daddy. No one will take me.” “No no! NO! They will take you! I am not letting that happen again Ellie!” He raised his voice and stood up, towering iver you and making you cower back with fear. His hand made contact with your face, leaving a burning hot sensation. “I didn’t want to do that! Stay in your room and be a good girl Ellie!” He turned back to the door and slamed it shut, leaving you alone and scared. ____________ You wrapped your arms around your legs, curling yourself into a ball. “Ellie how was your day today?” You didn’t want to talk to him today. You missed your family and want to go home, but he was never going to let you leave. “Ellie! Answer me when I am talking to you.” He growled and tugged your arm ls from your legs. “If you are going to be like this you will get the belt again!” He slapped you again, causing a whimper to escape. “I want to go home!” You yelled back with tears forming. He was angry now. You know you shouldn’t have made him angry but you couldn’t help it. He pulled you from the bed by your hair and dragged you out into the hallway. “You will learn your lesson!” “No please! I will behave. I promise” He continued to pull you down the hall and into the basement. There he tied you to a wooden stilt in the shape of a T. “Please” you begged as he tire the back of your shirt open, revealing your bare back. His hand traced downwards and stoped at your hips. “Please…help me dad” you whispered to yourself as the first wack of the belt hit across your shoulders. You let out an excrusiating scream as he hit you again, and again, and again. Your face was now puffy from crying. The pain was almost unbearable. He raised the belt again but stopped mid way when the sound of a door opened upstairs. Both yours and the mans gaze followed to where the noise was. “DAD!!” You screamed. “No! No they wont take you from me!” He yelled and ran towards you untying you and dragging you across the floor. “Y/n! Voices yelled from above you and loud footsteps rushed from room to room. "There’s a basement!” “Dad hel-” you mouth was covered by his hand. Muffling your cry for help. The mans grip on you tightened as you both saw your dad and Rossi enter, the team following close behind. Your dad aimed his gun at the man holding you. “Let her go Joseph.” Huh so his name was Joseph. You looked up at him. He doesn’t look like a Joseph. Joseph wrapped his arms closer to your neck, tightening and cutting off oxygen. “Joseph. Y/n is not your daughter Ellie. Ellie died, you know she did. We are sorry for what happend to your daughter but you need to let y/n go.” Joseph looked at you. “Ellie…I am sorry” he whispered “It’s okay…please. Just let me go.” You begged as you stroked his arm. Joseph sighed and started to cry. He loosened his grip and let you fall to the floor. “Y/n” Your dad rushed towards you and lifted you up onto his lap, hugging you tightly. Allowing Rossi and Morgan to arrest Joseph. “I am so sorry I wasn’t home with you and Jack. If I were there this would never of happened.” You reached up and covered his mouth. “Dad. This wasn’t your fault. I am just glad you saved me. I always told you didn’t I? You’re me hero dad.” He smiled down at you and kissed the top of your head. “I love you pumpkin.”
