Tb to ZUHAI BEACH. 2017 . Spending over 4 years in China .. this was definitely one of my favorite places and hope to return some day. If you ever do visit actually there is the longest bridge now that connects Zhuhai - Macau - Hong Kong and Shenzhen. My parents, 3rd aunt+uncle and 5th aunt+uncle went to Zhuhai and Macau for two days and a night.

It’s such a funny experience to get to Zuhai - had to use my HK resident card and Canadian passport with my Chinese visa about 7 times between the three cities 😂. Still, it was really easy to get to each place, which is good.

Our two activities in Zuhai were Chimelong Ocean Kingdom and a variety/circus show at night. I’d never even heard of Chimelong before we went, but the park actually holds a few Guinness World Records, including one for the world’s largest aquarium and the largest aquarium wall 🤓. Lots of animals and a couple of shows (both animal and non-animal) to mixed feelings. I felt like some of the enclosures were way too small - eg the polar bears - but who knows, maybe they wouldn’t be able to survive in the wild for whatever reason and this is actually a better option.

We stayed the night in a very neat Penguin Hotel (as you might guess, everything is penguin themed in the hotel!) before heading to Macau the next day. Unfortunately I got a mix of food poisoning and allergic reaction to the horses from the circus and puked up my guts that night - to the point where I burst blood vessels around my eyes... another new experience! 😂 Still, an outing with family is always a good outing!

Best part of Macau was the lunch buffet at Wynn Palace - you can see how pretty it is from the last picture!
