Here's a collection of small things that caught my attention while going through random pages! I don't have particularly deep thoughts on any of these, which is why I'm lumping them all together, but I do think they're all kinda neat

I completely forgot about this bit of dialogue, and when I first read it, I think I assumed she was talking about Erin. It is now clear she was talking to Tynan (as a storm, not a god).

I like that we get the little nugget of information that is gods can physically feel if something is physically happening to the land they represent. I don't know if this gets mentioned anywhere else, but I noticed it here

This line coming from Erin of all people is impossibly hypocritical, it's so funny. Yeah, how dare the metal-boned demigod go to talk with a "dangerous criminal" all by himself, says Mr. I-Will-Tame- The-Ocean-With-Dangerous-Amounts-Of-Magic-All-By-Myself-Because-I'm-So-Very-Cool-And-Independant. God he's dumb, I love him so much

Ok I might be imagining things on this one or everyone else noticed it the first time and this is a certified blind moment, but I think it's cool you can kinda see the void energy stuff around Erin a page before Walter takes over

I wonder if Dainix ever regrets not ask Tahraim more questions when he had the chance. I don't see him holding it against the Floof Squad, that just doesn't seem like something he'd do, but I could see him being a little angsty about it, about sacrificing what may have been his only chance to get proper answers from a god who'd actually answer his questions without being a vague dick cough cough Caliban-

This post serves no great thesis. I just like Aurora and want to point at it and go "hey look at this".

Maybe I'm pointing out the obvious here, but I think this is what's going on with his iconography. I imagine that the mountain imagery is meant to evoke the city's geography and the elemental symbolism of Stone rather than the prison specifically, but the idea that Zuurith essentially goes around wearing an image of the prison on his head is sadly appropriate and would be a juicy bit of symbolism for opponents of the system to work with.

Thinking about god cognition got me wondering about this situation with Zuurith:

Is he caught between two levels of perception here, unable to fully process either? Or is it more like he's stuck in the god-perspective after losing his earlier incarnation to Tynan's attack, so overwhelmed by whatever it feels like to be the divine soul of a city that's being evacuated in the face of a natural disaster that he can't focus enough to incarnate?

much as I think obviously Zuuriths recent actions are going to be terribad for the ragtag group of protagonists, I can't say I can really blame him

like from his perspective Kendal and co are more than capable of defending themselves, more so than himself even, and he's finally realised he has a duty to those in his city, damn right they should be his first priority

okay who else assumed that the Collector was asking Zuurith where Vash went and didn't realize until looking at the page for the third time today that she says "Tell me how Vash came to be here." I swear I can read.
