Live set i did for Donal Dineen @ Electric Picnic 2013. I wanted to gather together all the versions of "Cold" that i have made over the last 2 years or so. It's an example of having a lot of ideas for a single piece (or the first piece, coldsong) and ending up not using them - the end of coldsong had a 13 chord, chord progression but i ended up simplifying it and only using 2 - leading to lots of left over material and the need to write the next version which in turn bred more material and so on. Over the course of writing Cold i've used violin, bowed / plucked acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano, 7 different reverbs, delay, tube amp, the cheapest crappiest solid state amp i could find (and it's killer lofi overdrive channel) 5 different overdrives, pog's, hog's, volume pedals, fuzz, an iphone, an ipad (samplr!) an octatrack and lots of compression.
