its why I'm tired of him, and I haven't even seen anything hes been in.
See, that's the thing, because I will be the first to admit that he really is a good actor. But then he's starting to fall into this rut of playing the same type of character all the time, and then he opens his mouth and says problematic shit in interviews, and THEN some of his fans (and I emphasize some, because I know a lot of great laidback Cumberbatch fans) respond badly if you criticize him at all. So seeing him on screen comes with a lot of other baggage.
On the other hand, if he does get nominated for an Oscar, watching what happens with those same fans when he loses – and he will lose, since every prediction I've seen is for either Michael Keaton or Eddie Redmayne to win – should be morbidly amusing.
