Honestly, given how much time he spends there? Zed smells like an office. XD That sort of stale scent with cheap floor cleaners? Yeah. And coffee. And if you were able to get close enough to really stick your nose in his quills, you'd probably get the scent of exhaust, since he loves his motorcycles~
Rarely and lightly. Zed works so damned hard and is always on constant call. That's just part of being Commander of the Zone Cops. If he's even at home sleeping he has a bad habit of just dozing off on the couch. If he's at work? Same thing. He's got a couch in his office and he just flops onto it, on his back, and catches a nap. If he's particularly exhausted he'll just doze off right in his chair or flopped over on his paperwork.
You'd never guess it, and nobody else would either I'm sure, but Zed is every inch a trashy pop slut. No, seriously. The dirtier and trashier the pop, the more he likes it. If it's an over played, over hyped 'why is this so popular?' kind of music? He is aaaaaall over it. Mostly it's pop in general, though. Especially girl pop. Gaga, Spears, Ke$ha, Perry... if it's super mainstream and all over the radio, he loves it. (he's got a huge soft spot for Maroon 5 and Adam Lambert, too)
How much time they spend getting ready every morning:
That depends on if he's working or no-- wait, this is Zed. He's always working. Basically no time at all. He's long mastered the art of getting ready in as little time as possible because of all the emergencies he has to respond to. And if, by some stroke of chance, he's actually *gasp* taking a day off?? He doesn't bother. Pajama pants he slept in and unbrushed quills are the mark of Zed's rare break days.
Their favourite thing to collect:
Photos of the people he's known (and lost) throughout his life. Zed has a big scrapbook that he keeps photos he's managed to snag of the people who've been important to him in some way. His parents and uncle who died in the tear that nearly killed him, too. The few friends he had in the hospital and orphanage afterwards. Max Acorn, his adoptive father. Zally, even though she broke his heart. Friends from the Academy, with special marks for those who didn't make it. The ZCs he looked up to and that mentored him. Streak. Deus. Twilight. Carmen. Boomer. Macbeth. The list goes on and on. If you were ever important to Zed, and many people have been, you're in his book somewhere, even if you were never aware of him getting a photo of you for it.
He was born left handed but, after the tear got him, he had to learn to use his right, since his left arm was so badly injured. He was determined to use it again, though, so he's regained all the ability with it, back, making him ambidextrous. His right arm is stronger than his left, though, so he still favours it.
