Joanne’s been ma’am’d about three times since she’s been here, left her chin up high: she’d say the blazer has that effect... To be honest, this pub’s not quite her usual jam. LOUD! LIGHTS! ACTION! ANOTHER DRINK PLEASE OH PLEASE! But it was late, she was wide awake, & the only place Joanne really felt like visiting was a place where nobody knew her name.
She found just that, and this joint even had MUSIC! the energy was contagious even for an onlooker-- That’s fun, right? Sure! A good knick at a brick in the good ol’ wall of monotony!
Look at her: SPONTANEOUS! she should probably do a bit more “locale” research before she travels for work next time...
But look at her now! Sitting up at the bar like a REGULAR! Nursing a martini glass still icy around the rim-- if it weren’t so loud, (don’t worry: she’s louder), they may even be able to hear the tune she’s tapping out against the base of it, considering how close she’s leaned in.
“Ya’ look just like my fourth husband, believe it or not...” shhhhhhhhhhh!!!: she’s only been married three times... “What’ch’ya drinkin? Lemme get you one...”
