This is called a potato
Those two pictures says it all , Throughout this unit i've learned that reputation does matter because without reputation no one knows about you no one will help you when you're in trouble because they just don't know you, I've also learned that we need justice because without justice the world would just turn into a wilderness where the strong rule and that is not fair for the poor /weak people.
I think that justice is a main reason why countries are progressing , I've learned that justice is not just making everyone equal , its about giving everyone what he deserves , Some people make selfish and fool decisions not thinking about the consequences and how many people would be hurt , they are just thinking about their own benefit which will make people go against the decision maker and that's not so good for him because if people are against him he can't do anything.
My point of view changed i thought that justice is giving everyone the same share but i learned that this is equality , After reviewing alot of posts i realized that my opinion was wrong because i can't be right and everyone else is wrong , so i started trying, trying to change my opinion and it happened in the last weeks of the assignment , at the end of the assignment i knew the difference between equality and justice.
My opinion on Social media has definitely gone in the positive direction which is caused by the new kind of experience and ingenuity that this project has given me. As a result my ideas about the use of Social media have changed in comparison to the start of the year. Some points that have changed...
I totally agree with Shaleen because after looking at the social media from another point of view i started understanding that social media is not just to have fun and post useless stuff it could be used as a tool to spread the word about important things that we don't usually pay attention to like justice. This made most of the people who did this assignment change their opinion.
Week 6
Boy Willie: Hey, Berniece ... whats the name of that man Avery sent past say he want to buuy the piano?
Berneice: I kenew it. I knew it when I first seen you.I kn ew you was up to something
Boy Willie: Sitter's brother say he selling the land to me. He waiting on me now.told me he'd give me two weeks i got one part . Sell them watermelons get another part. Then we can sell that piano and ill have hthe third part
Berniece: I aint selling that piano boy willie. If thats why yo you come up here you can just forget about it
Part of me-Katy Perry.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fko7_SV3Lc
This is an example of Berniece's restistance which goes throughout the whole story for not selling the piano The song i've posted is also about keeping your own stuff and not changing your opinion and defending your opinon
Week #6
"That's when I discovered the power of death. See, a nigger that ain't afraid to die is the worse kind of nigger for the whiteman. He can't hold that power over you. That's what I learned when I killed the cat. I got the power of death too. I can command him. I can call him up. The white man don't like to see that. He don't like for you to stand up and look him square in the eye and say, "I got it too." Then ge got to deal with you square up."
The young Boy Willie's discovers the "power of death" when he finds himself unable to resurrect his dog through prayer and, as a result, goes out and kills a cat. This power is not only the capacity to kill. It also requires the risk of one's life. Willie believes that this power—again, the power to risk one's life and kill another—is the only one left to a black man denied property to build something for himself. More importantly, it makes the black man the white man's rival. As Willie declares: "See, a nigger that ain't afraid to die is the worse kind of nigger for the white man." With the power of death, he can look the white man "square in the eye and say, 'I got it too.' Then [the white man] got to deal with you square up." As he notes later, Willie is all too aware of the fear the sound of a "nigger's heart beating" can inspire. By discovering the power of death, Willie undermines the distinction master/slave that haunts the difference between white and black, a distinction in large part founded on the master's capacity to kill his servant. The power of death makes both players masters engaged in a struggle to the death, masters who are willing to murder and die in a battle for recognition. Also note the trope of the eye and being dealt with "square up."
This is TOTALLY my effort www.shmoop.com was NOT used for this and you can check.
Week six assigment
1-Do you like tumblr?why/why not?
I do like tumblr its an amazing way of getting the idea out of the public because it does allow us to put links , videos , photo's up and its amazingly growing in users.
2)Would you prefer a different social media site?
No i wouldn't because other social media sites don't allow that kind of freedom and its harder to access in our school for example Facebook allows you to play games , twitter doesn't allow you to post a lot of stuff.
3)Alternative website for this would be Reddit because its also growing really fast and it allows you to do similar stuff like Tumblr.
4)Was this tumblr assignment good?
Absolutely because it allowed us to experience a new type or learning , an easier type of course with the same effects it also made it easier to share stuff like photos and videos because you can't draw a video and if your bad at drawing its still a better way of posting thing .
4b) Would you prefer writing it in Journal?
Nah, it would've been more boring and people wouldn't look so much for english lessons and if you can't share your idea's as easy as Tumblr because people have to manually come up to you to see your stuff while on Tumblr they could just access your stuff , Comment on it and give you feedback.
A lesson for grade 10
I think every G10+ student should know be responsible because if he's not being responsible in grade 10 he will never become responsible for his family , work or even his own life. Grade 10 students should learn what does responsibility means because if they don't then how will they succeed in life?
1)Become responsible for his family , work and his own life.
2)Become responsible because if he's not he won't succeed in life.
JUSTICE BEING SERVED
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/feb/26/lee-rigby-killers-michael-adebolajo-adebowale-whole-life-ruling
I think that this is justice being served , Because after they killed the british solider they ran away but the authorities chased and caught them, I agree with the Judge's choice and the Jury's opinion because those men did something really bad, They killed a solider and in most countries killing a solider is worse than killing a civilian , because if people knew that a solider is dead how will they feel safe anymore,
see the article at:
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/escaped-murderer-caught-after-37-years-on-the-run-9200609.html
I believe that soldiers are very important in every country’s life and they are our protectors in times of hardships and i believe that killing a fellow...
I agree with Amr's point of view because without soldiers people cannot live in their homes safely because when you look outside and you see a soldier standing you will feel safer and Soldiers help in all kind of ways they Protect people , some of them help injured people in situations like wars. Thats why Soldiers are really important in any country.
Extra assigment

-I think the food because the food sucks in the cafeteria.
What would you change about English class this year?
-nothing.

I think that we should do more writing.
If you were Principal for one day, what one rule would you change at GSAD?

Here’s a potato for absolutely no reason
haris please if your gonna post a picture of a potato make it a good looking potato
I agree with Amr
Everyone likes potatoes, unless… #illuminati
This picture represents my view on justice but in the piano lesson i think Boy Willie was acting like a kid , And Bernice was a hard working women she could't stand up and speak to him because she was too afraid to wake the spirits of their ancestors.
Quote about injustice
"That's the difference between the coloured man and the white man. The coloured man can't fix nothing with the law (p.38).
This quote represents injustice because it shows that a black man can't do anything in the american society back in the day, so it was really hard for black people to survive back then , because there was a lot of discrimination and racism.
I would choose this man to be Boy Willie because he seems like he wants money and he looks like he can talk his way through anything. it looks like he had struggled a lot in life. Thats why i picked this man to be Boy Willie.
I would choose Morgan freeman for Docker's character because he looks old and he looks very serious , He looks wise with his white hair and serious look i would definitely choose him as Doaker.
I would choose Michelle Obama as Bernice because she looks like a hard working women who can't stand someone like Boy Willie. I would also choose her because she always look tired.
Here’s a potato for absolutely no reason
haris please if your gonna post a picture of a potato make it a good looking potato
I agree with Amr
Song about justice
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvclR_jLn_4
This is a song about justice because it states that everyone is equal and everyone must get justice , It says that we all have brains so everyone got a chance to become better.
Its also better listen to those kinds of songs because they are telling people not to be racist and to have justice in every act they do.
