YOU CANâT TELL ME WHAT I AM AND AM NOTâŚ
Only a cruel person would do that Takane please I know youâre not cruel at heart I believe in you and your kindness.
Oh, no, he had angered her. This was definitely something the boy usually avoided, though he guessed he should have seen it coming in this particular situation. âJust give it to me, Iâll do it. Thereâs no point in drugging, letâs just get it done and then we can go somewhere.â He was thinking the movies, though she might fight that. Anything that might be deemed as a âdateâ was something Takane definitely tried to avoid at all costs. After all, that would require defining their relationship, and she didnât seem eager to do that.
I can and I'm pretty sure I just did..
Ehh, you must not know me very well. Kindness is only for people that deserve it and people that have earned it.
Takane doesn't even make a move to signify she's heard him speak, pencil tapping against the paper as she reads through the last problem. It wasn't that she didn't know it, she's been paying attention in her classes well enough to be considered.. average.. The point is she was doing fine and it didn't necessarily matter if Kuroha helped her or not, she was just trying to be difficult. Sort of.
"It's too late, I'm already done anyways," Takane replies curtly, shoving the finished worksheet into her bag before pushing herself to her feet, arms stretching over her head. What now, snakelord, you lost your chance.
Takane please this is animal cruelty.
Are you really going to leave this cute little snake without attention I mean look at him look at that face youâre killing him.
"Why do you want me to do this problem anyway arenât you smart enough to do it on your own." Heâd still answer it for her, though. It was easy enough for him. Even if he didnât take college classes like Takane, he still studied and he was as smart as his older brother, so schoolwork came pretty easy to him. Funny how he didnât go to school, though.
YOU AREN'T EVEN AN ANIMAL.
You're asking that like she couldn't and you damn well know that she could, don't test me.
His question ticks a nerve and she frowns, pulling the worksheet back towards herself instead. "Then don't do it. I'll finish it myself and go play video games," Takane replies flatly, directing her attention down to the paper once more. If he wanted to ask rude questions like that then he could suffer for all she cared.Â
No, itâs not. Pay attention to me.
This behavior was neglective, and she should be ashamed of herself. Didnât you know if you donât pay attention to a snake, it dies. âFine, give me a problem.â
I won't and you can't make me.
And I'm pretty sure it's that way with all animals- good thing Kuroha wasn't actually a snake then, right?
Takane looks up at the response this time, eyebrows raising before she slides the anatomy worksheet across the table towards the taller male, "If you can finish the last question, I guess it won't be too much trouble to spend some time with you."
That was not an acceptable answer.
"Takaneeee. Homework can wait until later. Come do something with me." The whiny little snake wonât be ignored.
It's perfectly acceptable, actually.
The whine makes her hand hesitate before she continues writing, not bothering to lift her eyes. "Help me get my homework done first and I will." Maybe.
"You have too. Iâve felt ignored."
"That's not my fault, you know."
"I'm busy with classes and work." Squints. Pointedly goes back to doing homework.
"Takane has been ignoring me lately."
"Eh? I have not."
"What."
Memories are not a kind of food | Konoha & Takane
It was normal to bump into someone, right? Aah, Konoha was such a crybaby, reallyâŚitâs normal for him to get a âscared catâ behavior in these moments. At least when the person says itâs all okay, he comes back to normal. Or elseâŚ
But, now he was more attracted by the fact that the girl knew his name. Was it normal that people that he doesnât know actually know his name? No, it canât be possible, since they didnât meet beforeâŚKonoha was a non-sense guy but at least thinking a bit he knows itâs not possible to someone that he didnât meet before know his name-
Or theyâve met, but he forgot.
Really, that would be a obvious possibility, but who knows. Konoha just wonders, but he doesnât actually know if itâs true. The fact that he would forgot someone easilyâŚit makes he wonder things like âHave I met this person before?â until he directly asks the person.
"Um, yeah, Iâm okayâŚ" A pause. "UhâŚDo I know you?"
It might've slipped her mind for a minute or two-- his condition, that is. He had a hard time remembering things.. and it wasn't like she was exactly close enough to him to be an exception to it. It caught her off guard for a second, his question, before it struck her. Ahh, well, not like she could blame him anyways, right?
"Good, I'm glad you're okay, then.." Takane mumbles after a moment, scratching at the back of her head with a free hand. How do you answer something like that, though? Not like she hasn't reminded him who she was countless times, but still.
Ehh, what's another one.. or two.. or twenty. "Yeah, I'm Takane. I'm-- friends.. with your brothers. We've known each other for a while, but it's okay..-" a small sigh escapes before she can really help it, fingers clasping around the strap of the bag slung haphazardly over her shoulder as she shifts her weight from foot to foot.
"What are you doing here, though? Did you move here as well..?"
don't leave me { kuroha & takane }
His eyes were wet, hot liquid streaking down his face, and his throat was closed, making it harder to inhale the fast, shaky breaths that escaped him. And he was still clutching her, so tight he was afraid she would break. But Kuroha knew she wouldnât. Despite her frail health, Takane was strong, strong enough to beat anyone who tried to go against her. And though she felt soft in his arms, all warm skin and fluffy hair, he knew that underneath that she was made of iron, and she was unbreakable.
It was stupid of him to believe anyone could just make her disappear, wipe her off the face of the Earth. But he had been scared. So, so scared.
But the gentle touch of her hand to his cheek made the fear ebb and wash away, slowly, like the tide going out. It reminded Kuroha that she was right here, solid, warm, alive. That Takane was here. And that she wasnât going anywhere, at least not for a long time.
He couldnât help but lean into her touch.
"Iâm sorry⌠I panicked⌠I didnât think you had⌠that you were⌠okay⌠Iâm sorry⌠Iâm sorry⌠TakaneâŚ"
For the first time in a long, long time.. she felt kind of helpless. She didn't exactly know what had happened, who had told him she was gone (and apparently that she wasn't coming back), but it had clearly panicked the taller teen. And Takane couldn't help but feel a little guilty. Maybe she should've checked in..? That was probably a good idea, but it wasn't like the brunette could've known this would happen.
Aah, so troublesome.. if she ever found out who did this--
The feeling of the black haired male leaning into her hand (which, mind you, she hadn't exactly processed she'd lifted) pulls Takane from likely violent thoughts with a few blinks of brown eyes. She almost pulls her hand away from the other, in embarrassment more than anything else, but the fact that it calmed him down so much has her arm staying lifted.
His apologies earn another blink and then a sigh, head tilting off to the side somewhat. "You don't need to apologize, you know. It's not like you're doing anything bad.." the brunette mutters in response, free hand digging a handkerchief from her pocket with a little effort.
"Try to calm down a little more, okay.. Everything's fine now, right?"Â

Eyeing the person in front of her, it wasnât noticeable at first, but they were certainly older than the detectiveâ not by much, but nonetheless.
An employee? Â Strange, she didnât look familiar to Naoto.. However.. Perhaps in passing, a file had been skimmed earlier with information about the girl. Â Instantly, she began tracing through files upon files of information within her head, trying to place the person in front of her.. It was unusual for Naoto to not know at least the name and face of new employees, yet the person was a mystery.
â"now"? Â Youâre a new employee then, I presume? Â That would also explain why I didnât recognize you.â Â That, or it could be the four-days-and-running with zero sleep.. whatever.
It was a little awkward to be inspected like this, though she had a feeling the other girl didn't really intend it like that-- Takane could tell she was being eyed. Not that she exactly blamed them either, but it was still kind of nerve-wracking. First few days on the job and she'd been caught, technically, dozing off.Â
Could be worse.. probably...
The question makes Takane blink once before she perks up and nods a few times, scratching at her cheek with a finger lightly. "I started a little while ago.. and I'm not exactly familiar with anyone.." more like she knew one (1) person that worked here and they weren't exactly important.
That aside-- "But, I'm Takane.. Enomoto Takane," its a quick introduction as she stands up, smoothing down her skirt before offering out a hand politely. Handshakes were formal enough for work, right..
Memories are not a kind of food | Konoha & Takane
The first bad thing a person would do when they are new in the city? Get lost. But that, miraculously, wasnât Konohaâs case. Well, at least it didnât seem to be- Konoha somehow already got his things done in his room- which even if itâs all done, itâs a messy room, since Konoha doesnât have much sense of what he is doing.
Like now, since he is kind of a curious person, why would he stay inside his room, doing nothing? New things are certainly interesting, right? Right! And this city could leave it clear to Konoha that it wouldnât decepcionate him- Well, for Konoha, most of the new places that he gets to know will always be interesting, and that was unfortunately because of the lack of knowledge. Not really unfortunately, honestly.
Looking here and there, a normal happening when youâre distracted while walking, of course Konoha would bump into someone. But when he looked at the shorter girl, he felt like he have already seen this person before. Which might be true, Konoha is a bit aware of his amnesia.
"AhâŚumâŚIâm sorry, Iâm sorryâŚ!â
Headphones in place, check. Bag? Check..Â
Takane could still swear that she was forgetting something, though. Ahh, how annoying, it was going to nag at her all day until she figured it out, too. Her expression was a little more sour than usual as she shuffled down the sidewalk, fingers wrapped around the straps of the bag hung carefully over her shoulder. It wasn't much of an issue to make her way through the somewhat busy boardwalk seeing as everyone sort of.. weaved around her. Not that you could blame them, though.
Given the look on Takane's face was literally anything but friendly.Â
The sudden collision pulled the brunette from her thoughts with a small 'oof'; her face was exactly parallel to whoever's chest this was and that was literally ridiculous. How tall do you have to be--
"Ah." Well. This was a surprise-- Takane blinked a few times at the repetitive apologies, hands shifting her headphones around her neck carefully before they were held up a bit. "Konoha--? It's okay, it's fine, calm down.." What was he even doing here..?
When did he even get here. Did his brothers know..? Ehh, too many questions. "Are you okay..? You look kind of lost.."
_:(´âĄ`ă â ):_
It was getting late when the detective finally returned to the defense force building.  Naoto had ended up spending the day tying up some loose ends at school, home, as well as at what could be considered her other job, but as always, the day wasnât complete until the detective returned to the building.  It was a bit surprising, upon entering, to see an unfamiliar face seated where the other secretary usually stayed posted.  The girl had her hair pulled up, and headphones over her ears, seemingly starting to doze off into a sleep.  Checking her watch, it was certainly past a decent time for everyone to have gone home.. So why was this girl still around?
âExcuse me? Â Are you waiting for someone?â
Dozing off on one of her first days at her new job was probably.. a bad idea.. but school was wearing her out more than usual lately. Takane managed to maintain at least semi-consciousness, cheek propped in her hand, eyes closed, elbow resting on the desk she was seated at.
It was definitely bad in the respect that she hadn't even noticed that it was time to leave.Â
Takane jolts in surprise at the sudden voice, head lifting, brown eyes blinking a few times as she tries to focus. Ah.. they looked familiar.. "Eh?" Is the most intelligent she can manage in response at first, processing the question before shaking her head quickly (and sheepishly).
"Oh no, I, um.. I work here.. now--" it probably sounded suspicious with her awkward tone, but at least it wasn't a lie.
