Peace had been regained.
Her friends, hurting just as much as she was, had been able to accept and move on. At least as far as she was concerned. Or perhaps, not at all. The girl had become reclusive, going through life’s motions and bumps simply because she had to. If everyone else was carrying out the wish of their leader... her best friend, she owed them to at least try to do the same. She felt disgusting, selfish even, for thinking about herself and her own feelings. They crept up from the crevices of her mind when she was alone, silence fostering the thoughts and regrets she tried so hard to push away.
Yukari was so complex, she could barely handle it herself. Yet, she had to. She made a vow to reshape herself; be someone new for a change.
The crisp air outside the flower shop did little to improve her mood. She had wanted to pick up a fresh bouquet of flowers. Something to show her how beautiful life was. She sacrificed herself to show her that. Red carnations found their way into her dainty palms. Admiration and longing. Flower meanings escaped her at times, but this... this made sense. Shortly afterwards, they met the concrete, falling ever so delicately. Yukari had noted something out of place. Something...Someone that shouldn’t be here. No words could find their way out of her mouth. She simply stared, wind blowing gently through her hair.
No way... No way could this be real.
