Who cries when someone dies in a movie – Takeda. At first, he’ll try and act tough and unfazed. The moment a character that he becomes invested in dies, however, he’s bawling into his popcorn (prompting a half-amused, half-sympathetic Jacqui to pat his back and comfort him). Curse Master Hasashi for not letting him watch much films growing up …
Who wears the ugly holiday garb – Both of them: if one is gonna wear the dodgy sweaters, then the other is gonna support them by doing the same.
Who pays for the meals – Takeda will insist on paying, especially if it’s for cafe-type meals, coffees and (once in a while) fancy dinners; however, an equally insistent Jacqui – although touched by her man’s chivalry – will either want to pay for her own meal, or want them both to split the bill equally.
Who slams the oven door and who plays the trombone – “Hey Jacqui, Cassie bet us $50 if we –” “No. And don’t you even think of asking your dad, either.” Jacqui is not having that kind of nonsense being pulled in her house, nope. Don’t hold out for next time, Takeda.
Who brings home stray animals – Takeda. He feels pity for abandoned animals (perhaps even animals like birds and squirrels), and – like Master Hasashi – he will bring them home, feed and clean them, heal them if they’re injured, and take care of them until they’re ready to be re-homed or set free. Jacqui helps him wherever she can (except when it comes to cleaning up after the animals), and they grow closer in the process.
Who leaves the bathroom door open – Neither. Each value their privacy and will actually knock on the door before opening. Their parents and Master Hasashi taught ‘em right.
Who tells the ‘dad jokes’ – I think Takeda tries, bless him. Either Jacqui laughs or cringes for days. As for making jokes about their own dads, then they’re both guilty of this.
Who wants kids more – I think Takeda would love to have kids of his own one day. He’d give them the love and attention that he’d yearned for in his childhood (particularly after his mother died and Kenshi was MIA). Jacqui wouldn’t mind having kids, too, but it’s a case of when they’re ready and willing to have kids, they will. No rush, no pressure.
Who travels more – Both. Their S-F missions keep them busy. Plus, they constantly move between Jax and Vera’s farm, Kenshi’s home wherever the hell that may be and the Shirai Ryu Temple.
Who spends more cash – They’re both good with saving their money. However, in comparison to Takeda – who probably spends big on tech – Jacqui probably spends more for stuff like getting her hair styled, days’ out to the mall with Cassie, petrol for her car, etc.
Who buys the things in infomercials – After growing up in the Shirai Ryu temple, doo-hickeys like vacuum cleaners, wearable towels and clap-activated lights look so amazingly awesome to Takeda. After buying them, he’ll probably want to show ‘em off to Jacqui, who’s all like, “For God’s sake, Takeda, I know what they are. -__-;;”
Who draws in the dust on their cars – Uh uh, Jacqui keeps a clean car. Takeda might get it dusty, but he’s scared that drawing in it (and making marks) might make Jacqui mad.
Who starts the snowball fights – Jacqui, when she’s feeling playful. It’ll prompt an all-out snowball fight that’ll end up with either her winning or them calling a truce, before they collapse in the snow and cuddle up together.
Who throws away the directions to things – Neither. Their S-F and Shirai Ryu training taught them better than that.
Who puts up holiday decor – Both. During Songkran, Jacqui will help Takeda sculpt sand pagodas, and decorate them with flags and flowers, learning more about this festival’s significance and her beau’s heritage; similarly, for holidays/occasions like Christmas/Halloween, Takeda would help put up decorations, and learn the significance behind these holidays/occasions. In either process, they grow closer to each other.
Who is more likely to forget to bathe – Neither. Their parents and ol’ Scorpy raised them better than that.
Who gets more obsessed about things – Similarly to Cassie, Jacqui is all about keeping order, sticking to routine and making sure everything is running smoothly, in both a personal/professional capacity; Takeda is kinda similar, in that he just wants everything to run okay. They’re also just devoted to sustaining their relationship.
Who sings in the shower more often – I can definitely see Takeda, without thinking, starting to hum while showering. It may start off soft before becoming louder. Jacqui reckons he hums off-key a bit, but she still finds it cute, though.
