Chapter 4 | Memento Mori
(tw: burns)
True to Monokumaâs claims, anyone in Areas Four and Five are very soon after approached by a chaperone. Those from there, whether with hassle or not, are eventually gathered into a nearby train and itâs hard to tell whether or not the route being taken is familiar. Darkness envelops the station but light has been granted inside the passenger cars of the trains at least where everyoneâs respective chaperone gives them a flashlight out of a box they had carried.

The walk is just around a ten minute walk, but it feels longer knowing that thereâs the possibility that you might be seeing the corpse of the one missing classmate in your number. Yet you keep moving, because Monokumaâs determined pace and A-30Nâs stubborn ignorance to empathy keeps you all progressing farther and farther down this cold, dark tunnel.
You see the cyan electric grid coming up, the force field like roadblock that forbids you all from traversing farther down this locked path. When you approach it, youâre hit with the sight that confirms the suspicion thatâs been aching away at some of you.
