ALL OF THE STORIES THE HERO GETS LONELY.
NOW IS THE TIME TO SHOW WHAT YOU’RE MADE OF.
[Produced by Kid Cudi & Dot Da Genius] [Verse 1] I am happy to be alive Cause I know I could not be in a place that's filled with lies Can't stand no quiet nights, why I fill up my glass with pride Hopeful is all I know, how to keep me from silent cries Nothing I can say Facing all this pain in my way I fight it every day Why am I this way? A nigga tryna maintain I sit and tell myself, "okay" We gotta find another way You gotta find another way You gotta find another way [Hook x2] Don't be so down, c'mon young homie You'll be okay, you'll find real love All of the stories, the hero gets lonely Now is the time to show what you're made of [Verse 2] I am happy to be alive Cause I know I could not be in a place so filled with lies Can't stand no quiet nights, why I fill up my glass with pride Hopeful is all I know, how to keep me from silent cries Nothing I can say Done running from the pain in my way I'm fighting every day Why am I this way? A nigga tryna maintain I sit and tell my self, "okay" We gotta find another way You gotta find another way You gotta find another way

CAPTURELAND. A short film by Nabil Elderkin inspired by the words of the late Nelson Mandela.
TUPAC ON LIFE & DEATH.
Client: Rude World Records
Project: Boolz - Aphe Kapa (Official Music Video)
Cape Town has disappeared from the SA hip hop map for a few years but is slowly starting to create a new breed of rapper that we believe will have more national relevance. Boolz is part of this new wave that is influenced by the strong EDM scene in Cape Town, but still completely true to hip hop culture.
Boolz is a perfect example of how different the CBD is from the hood in Cape Town and we wanted to show off the hood side of Boolz’s life.
The video is also a slight commentary of hip hop music video vixen with a feature by Jana Terblanche - one of Cape Town most cohestive up-and-coming performance artists - in her iconic gimp suit.
This shoot was the highlight of our year and the vibe of the video is testament to how well the stars were aligned and how much energy everyone involved put into the shoot.

Miners Shot Down (Documentary Review)
It's crazy that it's been exactly 2 years since this happened and still no-one has taken responsibility for what happened at Marikana.
I wasn't around for Apartheid, but for me this feels worse than the massacres during Apartheid because at least then the perpe-traitors took responsibility for their actions. At least then the families and communities could blame someone. "This is not a time for blame." So poignant.
This documentary definitely tries to paint a particular picture, which seems plausible, but mostly I think it's an important work because the media and the news never show the miner's voice in first person. They weren't afraid to die. Blame it on the mu-mu-muti!
Apartheid crushed those who weren't afraid to speak their mind and demanded to be heard. To me, this begs the question...is the extraction of our mineral resources (and profit thereof) still more valuable than our people's lives? Are the people who were in power during Apartheid still in power, behind the scenes? Or if not that then, is it even about the people or is it the system that's the issue? Do we still play by the same rules?
It seems to be the African tragedy that our 'liberation' leaders always fall for the Master's old, lame-ass suit-and-tie bullshit dull medieval clothes, instead of creating their own, new royal African robes. It's HOT IN AFRICA and those suits don't make sense joe.
We seem to forget the point. What's the point of it all if we forget the point of it all? How dastardly Shakespearean of us.
The EFF might be a radical crew, but it seems they might be the only people in South African politics talking about the real issues at hand - economic freedom in our lifetimes.
That's why we gotta stay focused on getting ours, the more we get ours, the more the power will be ours? Aluta continua.
I don't have answers. I just have a lot of questions.
And for the record, I didn't vote because I lost my ID so technically my opinion doesn't matter right?
