Reverse this. We completely abandon this so called “evolution in music” (and even gaming) to go back to when we simply BOUGHT the album and merch. Streaming is new and not impossible to abandon. People will still buy music. Fuck streaming. I should be able to list to a song during a brown out or when the internet is down. These companies seriously want us to believe our lives end when we’re not connected to their teat .

Peeps, it’s called Bandcamp. That’s where the Indie music’s at. A lot of artists will even let you choose how much you give them, and then you can download in your preferred format, or just stream it off the website. Like, if you want to be digital and also not beholden to the likes of spotify…you can buy music in digital form as well. It’s super easy.

Also some bands have their mp3 downloads available on their website. I bought the entire Abney Park discography off of their website because importing their CDs costs a fortune, but at least now I actually OWN the mp3s
