いよいよ明日です！「ものがたりという宝石：日本とインドの写真+映像+アニメーション」がインド二都市を経てとうとう横浜にやってきました！インドからやってきためずらしいショート・アニメーションや映像作品、住んでいる町や家族の記憶にふれる写真作品を、どうぞごらんくださいませー。

☆本場インドのチャイをご用意して、みなさまをお待ちしております。インドの日常の飲み物といえば、あたたかくてちょっとスパイシーなマサラ・チャイ。インドからのゲスト作家アディラ・テックヴィーテルが腕によりをかけて、家庭の味のチャイを作ります（オープニングのみ）。

「ものがたりという宝石：日本とインドの写真+映像+アニメーション」は、日本とインドの19名の若手・中堅作家による展覧会です。日本とインドの作家たちは、家族や愛情、人々が持つ死生観、そして戦争の記憶といった人々の暮らしの中の物語に光をあて、写真、映像、アニメーション作品として描き出しています。日本人とインド人キュレーターによって選ばれた作品たちは、まるでタペストリーのようにそれぞれの糸がよりあい「ものがたりという宝石」展を織りなしています。インド国内二都市を巡回し、展覧会はとうとう最終目的地の横浜へ到着いたしました。日本とインドから集められた物語の短編集のような展覧会を、どうぞお楽しみください。

展覧会「ものがたりという宝石：日本とインドの写真+映像+アニメーション」の特別企画として、インドの風景写真について特別トークを行ないます。英国領時代にインドにもたらされた写真技術は、時代と人の手を経て深化し、現在の写真家たちの作品へとつながってきました。実際にインドに暮らす作家たちは、自分たちの土地や風景をどう見ているのでしょうか。これまでのインドの写真文化の流れをくみながら、現代インドの作家たちによるランドスケープ・フォトグラフィーを中心にご紹介します。

Artist Talks by Mansi Shah+Vishal Mehta & Shiho Kito brought down the curtain on the Ahmedabad edition of TALES & FABLES from India & Japan: Animation, Film & Photography. 

Shiho invited the audience to the stories from, Emonogatari: This is Our Story, which were rewritten from people’s memories and photographs related to the WWII; whilst Mansi & Vishal shared their concerns and creative development of their work, Feral City, that they have been exploring our ecosystem and environments by depicting animals’ lives in the rapid urbanisation.

The exhibition of TALES & FABLES now travels to The Japan Foundation New Delhi, which opens from 14th Oct - 9th Nov. 

「ものがたりという宝石」NIDでの展覧会最終日はマンシ・シャー+ヴィシャール・メータと鬼頭志帆によるアーティストトークが行なわれ、アーメダバード最後の夜をにぎやかにしめくくりました。

鬼頭志帆は人々の戦争の記憶や物語を、古い家族写真やインタビューを通して辿る「プロジェクト絵物語り」を展示しています。そこから彼女の祖父の物語を中心に、４つの物語について話しました。マンシ+ヴィシャールは急速に都市化する現代において、人や動物や昆虫が直面している課題について、そしてそこからいかに作品「野生の都市」が生まれて来たのかを話してくれました。

展覧会はこのあとアーメダバードを離れ、10月14日(水)から11月9日(月)までインドの首都ニューデリーの国際交流基金ニューデリー日本文化センターへ巡回します。みなさん、デリーでお会いしましょう。

アーメダバードでの展覧会、いよいよ最終日間近です！9月28日(月)夕方6時はクロージングイベントとして、ゲストアーティストに地元アーメダバードで活躍するマンシ・シャーとヴィシャール・メータ、そして隣町ガンディナガール在住の写真家・キュレーターの鬼頭志帆を招いてアーティストトークを行ないます。

展覧会は10月14日(水)から11月9日(月)まで、インドの首都ニューデリーへ巡回します。

Please join us for Special Screening session at 5.30 PM at Auditorium, NID PG campus, Gandhinagar. This is a part of the ongoing exhibition, TALES & FABLES from India & Japan: Animation, Film & Photography. Selected work from the exhibition with the theme of Art of Storytelling.

The exhibition at NID, Paldi, Ahmedabad will be open till Monday 28th September, from 2-8pm.

「ものがたりという宝石」特別上映会‬ - 9月26日(土) 5.30PM　インド国立デザイン大学院（ガンディナガール）

いよいよアーメダバードでの展覧会もあと4日をのこすところとなりました。明日26日土曜日は、隣町のガンディナガールにて特別上映会を開催します。展覧会の上映作品と、この上映会だけでしか見られない特別上映作品もご用意して、みなさまのお越しをお待ちしております。

展覧会はアーメダバードのNIDにて9月28日(月)まで、期間中休みなし、午後2-8時の間開催しております。お見逃しなく。

‪Special Workshops by ALIMO, Japanese guest artist at National Institute of Design, India. Rhythm & Variation - Experimental Animation Workshop with 25 students. 31st August - 4th September 2015 インド・アーメダバードのナショナル・インスティテュート・オブ・デザイン (NID) にて、日本人アニメーション作家のALIMO氏と、NIDの学生25人による実験的アニメーションのワークショップが行なわれました。

‪#‎TalesandFables‬ Book Reading Evening with Adira Thekkuveettil & Avani Tanya, 10th Sep 2015 at ‪#‎NID‬ Ahmedabad. Adira narrated her own family story, which all started with a coconut tree, whilst Avani shared her tales and collections of small mementos from the metropolitan city of Bangalore. 本日の「‪#‎ものがたりという宝石‬ 朗読会の夕べ」 盛況のうちに終了しました。アディラ・テックヴィーテルとアヴァニ・タンヤによる作品の発表とそれぞれの写真集からの朗読を行ないました。アディラは一本の椰子の木からはじまる彼女自身の家族の話を、アヴァニはバンガロールの街でみつけたちいさな物語を話してくれました。
