You want a normal life, right Cassidy?
Then I'll give you one. *they snap their fingers, Cassidy suddenly jolts awake. They're back to having a normal worker drone body, no modifications, but Rebooted is still there, just quiter now, and can't control Cassidy's limbs.*
Cassidy put a hand on her head as her processors pounded.
"What kind of dream was that?"
She brought her hand down to grab her blanket when she saw her arm, no longer black or sleek and cone shaped, but rather a tube of metal rings leading to her hands, mostly the same but now lacking claws.
Her eyelights hollowed briefly before turning deadpan. "Oh, I'm still dreaming."
She yawned and got out of bed, a quick walk to the mirror and pulling up of her pant leg confirming the similar structure.
Cassidy looked down. "What? I didn't hear that."
She narrowed her eyelights. "Speak up. You're never quie—"
She froze. Slowly, her head turned up to face her reflection, noticing how she was shorter now, almost as short as Uzi. Her eyelights once more hollowed.
She took a step back and immediately tripped over herself, falling to the ground with a loud thud.
"Owww... that's not normal." She narrowed her eyelights again. "Speak up."
"Yeah, none of this is normal."
She moved her arms to get up, only to find them jetting faster in front of her, completely passing where she meant to move them. Defeated and oddly tired, she simply fell back to the ground, staring at the ceiling.
(For the next while, Cassidy will be in a plain old worker body.)
