My magical practice involves writing what I self-importantly call historical fiction interwoven with gratuitous porn about the 1970s rock band Led Zeppelin. I decided to make a tumblr blog to post links to my writing (all of which is uploaded to ao3), as well as occasional art. All my stories are gay, and they are all about Jimmy and Robert. Everything is made up, but is made up with great care and based as closely on real events, songs, and objects as possible.

Was reading Farm Frolics (by far one of my favorite lz works (or sagas?? series?? yada yada) kudos to you by millions) and was wondering, are Jimmy’s parents truly divorced or was that a figment created for the au? And if so, or if not so, do you have any favorite fun facts or things you’ve created for your own canon along the way?

Hello!! Wow, thank you so much for your ask and I'm honored that ff is one of your favorites :') Jimmy's parents were really divorced, if I understand correctly. I think his dad has kids with another woman? (Someone correct me if I'm remembering wrong.)

Ooooh, favorite fun facts/inventions within the canonverse...for Farm Frolics I'd probably say the elaborate system of magic/fantasy world we've built around Ty Clud and the strange occurrences there. We cobbled it together with bits and pieces of folklore and my sparse knowledge of ceremonial magic, and at this point it kind of just exists as a reality within the universe.

I would say a close second is FF Patricia--we know very little about her IRL, but as soon as we introduced her to the series, the character really just started taking on a life of her own, and we both love her. I love the dynamic that Jimmy, who has been extremely spoiled his whole life, finds her perpetually irritating and wants nothing to do with her, while for Robert she is like the mom he always wanted.

For my own canonverse, probably the fact that Jimmy has IBS, lol. (or what @laluxea calls the "obligatory poo cameo" in everything I write.) No reason.

I've been cooking up a little something that was supposed to be a shortish fic and is now 10k words....I feel it needs more breathing room but I am aiming for please no more than 15k.

Would people like a new Jimbert fic set in 1973? (that is what i am cooking up.....)

Stories are magic in my opinion. The motifs, themes, topics, symbolism, commentary, juxtaposition, dictation and metaphor of both oral and written story are pieces of a great grimoire of a tradition whether intentionally curated to be one or not.
