This isnāt a swear word master list or anything, I donāt got time for that but I did find some info about the origins of some common korean swear words and I thought it was interesting and so much more helpful when it comes to a deeper comprehension than trying to forcefully find english āequivalents.ā Please note the differences between the literally meanings and their actual uses. Not advisable to use any of these words without seeing how theyāre used first.
Swears derived/related to ģ¹: (ģ¹ literally means vagina)
ģØė°: The most common korean swear word perhaps, comes from the verb āģ¹ķė¤ā (ģ¹ķ ) meaning to engage in sexual intercourse. So it can be easily equated with the english āfuckā. Other spellings include Ā ģ¹ķ, ģ¹ė¹Ø, ģ¹ģ, 18, etc.
ģ¹ģė¼: A pretty strong but very common korean swear word, whose literal meaning āa person who came from their motherās vaginaā which may seem silly as a swear becauseā¦almost everyone in the world is a person who came out of their motherās vagina. But referring to it is offensive nonetheless.
ģæėعģ“ė¼: ģæ, much like ģ¹, refers to the vagina so āģæėعģ“(ė¼)ā which generally translates as āfuck youā literally means āeat a vaginaā
ėźø°ėÆø(ė미ģØķ): comes from āėģ ģ“머ė ģ¹ķ ,ā equivalent with the english āmotherfuckerā
ź°ģ¹, ģ¹ģ, ģ¹ģ°½ etc are other examples of ģ¹ words.
Swears derived/related to ģ¢: (ģ¢ literally means penis)
씓ė/ģ¢ė/ģ”“ėź²/ģ¢ėź²/씸ė¼: derived from āģ¢ė¬¼ģ“ ėģ¬ ģ ė(to the point that semen comes out),ā is used colloquially to mean āvery, a lot, extremelyā
ģ¢ź°ė¤/ģ¢ ź°ģ/ģ¢ģ“ė¤: Literally ālike a dick/is a dick,ā is used to described something that sucks (is bad or unfavorable).
ģ¢ė§ķ ģė¼, ģ¢ź¹ė¼, ģ¢ė°„ etc. are other examples of ģ¢ words.
ė¹ģ“먹ģ: used similarly to the english āgoddammit,ā comes from Ā ė¹ėģ§ ķė¤ meaning āto panhandle.ā So if you call someone ė¹ģ“먹ģ ė, youre literally saying theyre poor/unemployed.
ģė/ģė
/ģ
ė/ģ
ė
: ģ originally referred to the lowest class of people in the Josun dynasty class system. So again, a ģė is a poor person literally. Used colloquially to say that someone is a bad, shitty person.
ģøź°ģ§ ģė¤: used to say someone has no manners. originally came from a word meaning ź°ė§(hope), so literally itās calling someone hopeless.
ź°: dogs are animals and referring to someone as an animal is offensive, so there are lots of slang and even more ģė“ using ź°, but itās not a very strong swear word (depending on how you use it) ź°ģė¼, ź°ė„, ź°ķø, ź°ź°ģ, ź°, ź°ģ¢ ź°ėæ, ź°ķ¼, etc etc are ways ź° gets used.
thereās way more here for any of yall who read in korean~
