Why do feminists hate bronies?
Probably because fictional ponies meant to be marketed towards little girls are more attractive than them. They are jealous that they are so fucking off putting guys would rather pay attention to a cartoon. I’m pretty sure that’s what it boils down to.
That and it’s one of the few positive things a feminist (Lauren Faust) has created.
Also it’s probably due to the fact that bronies care about the fact that not only Lauren Faust wanted the show to be for girls and boys without the fear of gender stereotyping, but the original creator (Bonnie Zacherie) also intended for the show to be for everyone, and not just little girls. Feminists seem to hate gender equality.

It’s also funny to me because Lauren hates those kind of feminists and even wrote a PPG episode about how feminists SHOULD NOT ACT complete with a villain that was bad feminism incarnate.
She also tore Miss Magazine a new ass once.
Oh yeah, those were both absolutely glorious.
Oh and another reason is because that Twilight may master the magic of friendship, but Femmenazis are the masters of the magic known as DOUBLE STANDARDS.
Yaoi Fangirls in the Transformers fandom drawing Megatron sticking his “Fusion cannon” into Starscream’s “Tailpipe?” Lol, who cares?
Tumblr shippers drawing Elsa and Anna making out (even after most them raised a tantrum over the Sami bullshit)? grrl powah!
Kingdom hearts fangirls violently kill off every female not named Aqua or Larxene or derail them into heartless cunts just so that they’re out of the way of TEH GAI BOYZ? “omg stop harassing meh it’s just fanfiction lmao!!!!!!111!”
But some dude minding his own business never harmin’ nobody starts drawing pictures of a cartoon horse from a little girl’s show shaking her ass and OMFG RAPE CULTURE PATRIARCHY MALE SCUM FAT SHRIMPDICK NECBEARD FEDORA MRA BRONIES ARE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLL!!1!!11!!1!!11!!!!!111!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh.
That pretty much sums up Tumblr.
These responses are hilarious and brilliant.
I think the anti-brony movement suffers a lot from the Texas sharpshooter fallacy, when the original justification for dehumanizing male fans was dismantled people looked anywhere and everywhere for something to hang their prejudice on, ever notice every single incident someone does something who happens to be a fan of the show people flock around and shout “oh actually *this* is why I hate that group” as if they couldn’t quite articulate why they felt the way they did before? because of that the whole thing has become too varied, too difficult to pinpoint, some people even hate them for putting toys on desks, go figure.
One reason I have come across quite a lot is that bronies are getting too much media attention, that SJ supporters and feminists have been trying desperately to get many issues into the limelight and bronies just come waltzing in and manage to gain far more media coverage and support for breaking gender norms in 3 years than they’ve done in 30. Many see this as a giant slap in the face. This seems to be the driving force for a lot of the hate #standwithGrayson and Michael Morones has faced from people who supposedly support social justice.
What they don’t seem to realize is that by acting as one giant support group bronies have done a lot to eliminate pluralistic ignorance surrounding their hobby that is still inflicting many of the issues feminists and SJ supporters continue to face today, drumming things into peoples heads and educating them only go so far, nothing can really change as long as everyone still thinks everyone else doesn’t want it. A lot of people will hate me for saying it, but people on tumblr trying to change public opinion could learn a thing or two from bronies.
