Imagine our guys won't be able to stop Pandora and in order for anything in the ritual to go wrong Mahiru will become the one who'll drink the Count's blood.

It won't be self-sacrificial because I believe this could be the moment we learn about Mahiru's speciality/ability, the reason why he has no magic, and that would help him become the Count's vessel s a f e l y

It'd be a good ocassion for the Count to rise, see that the plan hasn't worked well and return everything back (aka return all souls to Tokyo citizens). Also, this way both Mahiru and Kuro would be able to have conversation with him, and, in addition, Mahiru would see flashbacks, as he usually does.

I truly don't wish for that but remember this tweet

Idk if anyone has already said this (I say this too much in my posts 😭) but I was looking at them for a little too long and realized something (that should’ve been quite obvious but I’m slow and maybe I wanna prove I have more than half a braincell)

Kuro looks the exact same. From his expression to his clothes to his pose. He hasn’t changed (except emotionally) (he did change there)

But Mahiru looks very different! He’s not in his uniform anymore, his shoes went from white & orange to orange & white (an upgrade fr if you ask me), his hair looks way fluffier (like he hasn’t cut it in a while), and maybe this is super irrelevant but his pants are still rolled up but they’re less messy. He overall looks a little more mature if you get what I mean.

That’s not a bad thing, but it especially highlights that Mahiru’s always gonna keep growing and eventually die as every human does. Kuro hasn’t changed since he’s immortal.

This had me sobbing for a healthy 3 minutes so uh yea (don’t listen to folklore when reading Servamp it makes it a lil sadder)

Translation notes

Iduna's lines where she talks about the shoes was a challenge xD Hopefully I managed to convey what she was explaining. Also it's cute that based on the kanji reading, Iduna would say that she "invents", instead of simply saying "made" something.

Nicco displayed a new ability and if there are Italian fans reading this, please let me know whther I got it right or not. From what I read "vivi" is the imperative of the verb "vivere" (to live)? Or does it mean something else? Please let me know!

Regarding the ability's name based on the kanji reading, I believe it's related to The Divine Comedy.

The word poet is mentioned and I thought it could be about Dante Alighieri but what about the six crowns?

The only connection I found like I mentioned, was in The Divine Comedy regarding the word "crown" 冠 which I found on the Japanese wiki page of the literary work, specifically in the translations for the "terraces of Purgatory".

There might be different terms in the Japanese adaptations of the Divine Comedy, but on the wiki the levels/terraces are adapted using 冠 which doesn't mean just crown like the one you wear on your head, there's also the meanings: peak, crown, crest, summit (the top or extreme point of something, usually a mountain or hill).

So, it could be a reference to the 6th terrace of Purgatory which represents the sin of Gluttony. This is how it's adapted in Japanese 第六冠 (6th crown) 暴食者 (gluttonous).

The last note is about a word in the third speech bubble that has two readings but unfortunately I couldn't make out the furigana reading that was made up from 2 kanji because the first one was…"squashed". Seems like it was a complex kanji and the print of those kanji were quite small, I could only make out the 2nd one…

Because I couldn't make out that one kanji, I relied on the word from the other reading which is 空想物 the first two kanji meaning "imaginary", "fantasy" and the last kanji means "object", so it describes Pandora as an illusion, a creature of fancy. Given the meaning of that world, I looked trough the dictionary to see if I can find the word in the furigana reading and I found the following: 観念 概念 凝念 想念

I looked trough words that ended with the kanji that I was able to read and all of the words I listed had similar meanings: concept, notion.

So yeah, that's how I managed to find the meaning of what it says in the furigana.

We all know the count’s classic long lego piece lookin ahh necklace on volume 18, right? Yea, the bars. Oh, you don’t? It’s fine I have a picture right here for ya

I remember seeing a few months back posts (I think) referring to how the bars were used on servamps. Allow me to elaborate best i can—

There are 9 bars. Assuming the count hasn’t used Kuro’s yet, that is, this means he was making 9 immortal beings. We see that with each Servamp he makes, he loses a bar.

He made 8; so unless I’m failing math so badly I can’t get this right, it leaves us with one bar.

I think somewhere, either in the manga or in a tumblr post, I saw something relatively close to calling Tsubaki something other than a Servamp (no specific name, just not a basic Servamp). Since he’s a lil special and all, ya know? Mmk so

Backside of volume 14 we see mahiru bein cool so awesome yahoo but omg what’s that?

The bloody necklace innit?! With the one bar! We’ve all seen the Mahiru & the count theories, and I feel like this adds some spice to em.

Okok so like while I was rereading a few chapters, I got reminded of you mentioning Kuro’s coat tails being gone!

Spoilers so please don’t cancel me 🥹 (chapter 110+)

..so! We see that Kuro’s in a completely normal, bought at your local Walmart outfit when he wakes up, correct?

Nice, nice. Later, (this is still chapter 111), Kuro starts feeling “strong emotions” (Anger, fear, worry, excessive confusion?), which bring out the tails!

So I’m assuming that the tails are simply a detail added by Kuro’s power, since they’re his form of defense?? Im not sure. But that might be why his tails are gone! Because mahiru doesn’t have/need/use that sort of “weapon,” if you get what I mean!

And if someone has already addressed this (Ik there’s a lot of Servamp connection talkers) i apologize aggressively!!
