I met the devil last night.

He wore a black cloak with a hood over a leather jacket. His face was a skull the color of antlers after shedding velvet. Red. There was steel armor over his boots. His hands were white.

We sat as the daylight faded and shared an apple cut into eighths.

He offered me what you'd expect: Money. Talent. Love.

I asked what he wanted in return, but he shrugged, "You already gave me an apple."

I'm really tired right now and will probably find a ton of stuff I should've done better with this one, but that's tomorrow me's problem. I think I almost forgot how to paint backgrounds, it's been so long.
