Hi! This might seem like a personal question, and please tell me if it is too much, but, can you tell us a bit more about how you found out you were non-binary? Or just your parcour with it. I'm currently struggling with issues about my gender and would like to know how you personally dealt with it.(Happy pride btw)

Hi anon happy pride!

I don’t mind a personal question my only issue is i don’t have very good memory lmao. so there is probaly more ins and outs and nuances i just do not remember. Anyway haha i came out as non-binary when i was in uni, i met a few folk in my class who where trans and non-binary, i didn’t really know what non-binary was and when i found out what it was it just resinated i guess, I was born afab and i never related to that at all, i wasn’t feminine in anyway but i also wasn’t particularly masculine, i felt like i didn’t fit into any particular binary so when i learned what non-binary was it just felt like it made sense, it made me feel a lot more comfortable in myself.

Being called she always made my tummy go into naughts, it never felt right it almost made me feel like my skin wasn’t mine, but when i started using they/them pronouns it stopped. I now use he/they pronouns as i transition because i want the world to see me as masculine, i am still non-binary, i don’t think i fit into the masculine box even as my outer self gets more masculine and i love when people call me he/him i still identify as non-binary because i still don’t feel fully like a man, i was never a woman, i am just me. And using he/they pronouns feels like me.

I obviously can’t tell you what you should identify as, but there is no rush, if you want to try things and then find they change in the future as you change that’s perfectly valid. You just do whatever makes you happy and makes you feel most comfortable in yourself, you’ve got this 💕

I've followed you for a while (though I'm barely on social media these days) so I immediately picked up Gravehearts on my phone when I saw it released, and I'm loving it! I'm already hungry for Chapter 3 - sorry if I've missed a post or info anywhere due to my sporadic socmed presence, but is there a release timeline for each chapter? I'm very okay with having to wait of course, but if there's any rough dates/months I can look forward to, it'd be nice to know when I can jump back in for a tasty new update 🧡 Keep up the great work!

I dont have any sort of timeline unfortunatly cause im working on it part time so i cant like garantee timelines but i aim to get each chapter out sort of 4ish months after the last if i can the chapters keep getting longer though, id love if someday i could have more of a schedual where i could work on it more full time, thatd be so good ;a;

How did you build up your audience to be able to charge proper amounts for commissions? I've found I really only sell when I price low and advertise mainly to friends, but I want to be able to move upward and outward. How did you do it? Thank you for answering my questions by the way!! So pricing is something that is always difficult when it comes to commissions, because I can't really say like your art is work x amount because of this, this or this reason. Obviously, it took me a while to build up to these prices as over the years my work has improved, so my prices have gone up. I actually started off with my commissions being like £20, which for anyone is far too cheap.

You have to price it at what you feel it is worth and take into account how long you work on average for that kind of illustration, how long you've been drawing, and how expensive the area you live in is. A good kinda base to start would be giving yourself a living wage of your area at the very, very least, but seeing how art is a luxury item, you can price up from that, and then take things like time, admin and skill into consideration.

Art is subjective, so no one can really tell you exactly how much it is worth, but it is definitely worth you being able to afford to live.

Hi hi hi! I just stumbled upon your art and looked over your photocard comms, and I really admire how you put everything together.. do you have any advice for me with things like they? How do you decide what boundaries to set and what things to charge for? I'm still getting the hang of comms myself so any advice you have for me would be lovely!! If you don't want to answer this though, please don't feel pressured to! Regardless, I love your work and yearn to be able to render like you hehe

So when doing my commissions i try and be as clear as possible so there is little confusion as possible when folk are looking at it. Boundries are personal preferences so like im happy to draw furries but not so happy to draw things like mechs because its just not what i draw and i dont think id be able to give people who like mechs a quality piece but that could be totlly different for you! Commsions are for other people but you are the one who has to do them, so if youre like i just do not like drawing cars or something then you do not do cars, and even if you forgot to put down i dont draw cars and someone comes at you with a Lightning Mcqueen comm you can always just say no, there is no harm in that. I will always have a rule of i can deny any commssion just encase someone comes at me with something i didnt think to put as a boundry then ill add that boundry to my next comm list.

Things that can cost extra are things that i know will take me extra time, so like another character? Thatll cost more, a super intrecate detailing that is going take ages to get right then that can cost extra, its just to make sure youre getting paid for your time.

Just try be clear and transparent with what your commssioner is getting and what they can get!
