true words from a true knight. ( ͡ ° ͜ ʖ ͡ ° )
I could not love her any more than I already do.
Chapter 5-chapter 55
Feyre: are you flirting with me
Rhysand: well I'm fucking trying to
I want every teenage girl in the world to read ACOMAF becasue of the brilliant representation of sexual agency. I want every teenage girl to know it is perfectly normal and really healthy to know what you want and like and give voice to it, to get yours and that a partner needs to please you too, it’s a two way street people. Feyre represent. I want them to know it is okay to wait until you are in love and feel safe, to have sex for the first time. Aelin represent. I want them to know that there is no shame in waiting for someone who deserves you, waiting until you are god damned ready, no matter how old you are. Nesta represent. I want them to know that making the choice to have sex for the first time with a person you’re not in love with, but that is kind and sexy, to have it done with, to control your own life and situation and be rid of expectations, is okay. Mor represent. Thank you Sarah J Maas for making your female characters different and showing that no one way is the right way. It is a personal choice and no way is better than the other.
Brienne’s inability to cope with a guy having an honest crush on her is the best thing ever. I love it.

I might go back and do a better background, but for now… *sends it sailing out into the internets*

Acomaf
Okay okay. I am rereading it slooowly and relishing it, but I was suddenly overcome with this urge to talk about it. So here goes randomness: • The name Tamlin the Tool ™ makes me proud of the fandom. • This book is the best example of “show, don’t tell” ever. • The portrayal of depression and abusive relationships is out of this world. • I mean I literally almost had a panic attack both times I read about Feyre’s panic attack when Tamlin the Tool locked her up, I was hyperventilating and dizzy. • It is an astounding example of how the fuck to deal with a person that’s having such problems. How Mor kept saying “you are FREE” instead of safe and how Rhys told her that she had nothing to be sorry about and how they cared for her even when she didn’t even have strength to speak and how he tried to pull her back to life. • It is feminist AF and it even has a parallel to female genital mutilation with the crippled wings of the Illyrian females. • It’s also empowering AF. Feyre leaving the toxic relationship for HERSELF is the best think to have happened to literature in ages. • Sex is not glossed over even a little bit and is instead referred to as something normal that people have every right to crave for. • Sex and sexual scenes are also beautifully written, all the tension in the Nightmare Court had me at the edge of my seat and the table with the paint made such a beautiful image! • The settings were BEAUTIFUL, just the right amount of description. • The writing was also phenomenal, with plenty of intriguing details that I couldn’t have thought to save my life, and the friendships were heartwarming and complex and interesting.
And so, so much more! I literally cannot stop thinking about this book. So I’m going back to reading it again!

PREACH.
Everything suits me.
I know that the Night Court is amazing and would hands down be the place I’d live if I had to choose a Court, but I would not mind vacationing in the Day Court every now and then just for their one thousand libraries.
Me 100%. I just hope they aren't as prejudice and ick as some of the other courts. Books for ALL.
A Court of Mist and Fuck You Tamlin
I wish I was a more articulate person so that I could adequately describe just how much I freaking loved the book this painting is based on. I finished S. J. Maas ‘A Court of Mist and Fury’ around a week ago, and whilst I’ve kind of managed to function as a walking, talking human being during that time - in my head I have truly been off with the faeries. This book RUINED ME. It dragged me through the wringer, smashed my heart into a million little pieces and then gloriously and magnificently pieced it all together again. This is one of the most sorrowful yet JOYOUS books that I’ve ever read. I really can’t describe how much this book made me feel, my heart is fit to burst! It has easily swooped in as my favourite book of all time and I don’t say that lightly.
I’ve had a lot of book hangovers, but this is in a world of its own. Never have I ever loved a pair of characters (accompanying characters and their world included) as much as I have in this book. I can’t even begin to process how S. J. Maas managed to weave together this wonderful tale. It’s the second instalment in this particular series so it is kind of spoilery - apologies for that - but I couldn’t help myself.
When something effects me this much, I have to paint it out. I REALLY dragged out my time on this painting, working on it as lovingly as I could - listening to F&TM Cosmic Love and Never Let Me Go pretty much on repeat. This. This is my humble offering at the feet of the mighty and majestic S. J. Maas. THANK YOU.
Please send help, because I have no clue how I’m going to survive the next year until the final book is out.
*SOBBING ON THE FLOOR* Just go on without me…. it’s too late for me.
The Court of Dreams. The people who knew there was a price, and one worth paying, for that dream. […] “To the people who look at the stars and wish.” “To the stars who listen—and the dreams that are answered.”
“You think I don’t know how stories get written—how this story will get written?”
He thinks he’ll be remembered as the villain in the story. But I forgot to tell him, that the villain is usually the person who locks up the maiden and throws away the key.
He was the one who let me out.
That I would never be a gentle grower of things, or someone who burned like fire—but that I would be quiet and enduring and as faceted as the night. That I would have beauty, for those who knew where to look, and if people didn’t bother to look, but to only fear it… Then I didn’t particularly care for them, anyway. I wonder if, even in my despair and hopelessness, I was never truly alone.
