I’ve always been amazed at what a good hug can do. Not to long and not to short but just right.
Real ones don’t care what you drive or what you wear. They care how you show up, how you treat other people, if you genuinely enjoy being there for someone.
True class is demonstrated by how you treat others, especially those who can do nothing for you.
Some guy on the interweb.
Cautious, careful people, always casting about to preserve their reputation and social standing, never can bring about a reform. Those who are really in earnest must be willing to be anything or nothing in the world's estimation.
(Susan B. Anthony)
Standing on your constitutional rights won’t make you popular but it will make you right.
The reason why this can be true is that’s it’s one of the few things that can force a person to change their actions and/or thoughts in a more beneficial way. The only thing between you and where you want to be is you.
There’s a certain calm in the way you present yourself… is that intentional or just who you are?
That’s who I am with a few exceptions like being forced onto an airplane full of idiots. My calm is incinerated then.
Sapiosexual maybe?
If you're a guy and you're struggling right now just remember nobody cares and it does get worse.
Some guy on the internet.
“If you want to know where your heart is, look to where your mind goes when it wanders”
Walt Whitman
Couldn’t be any simpler than that.
And it seems to always be the people that need the most self improvement that tells other people how to improve themselves.
"Flowing not forcing" is the practice of aligning with the natural rhythm of life rather than resisting it, rooted in the Taoist concept of Wu Wei (effortless action). It means letting go of the need for rigid control, reducing stress, and trusting the process to allow outcomes to unfold naturally. This approach emphasizes acting with ease rather than strain.
Core Principles of Flowing vs. Forcing
Embrace Uncertainty: View the unknown as a possibility, not something to be controlled.
Path of Least Resistance: Like a river, move around obstacles rather than pushing through them.
Trust the Process: Let go of attachments to specific outcomes, which reduces anxiety and frustration.
Intentional Action: It is not passive laziness, but acting at the right moment with precision.
Relax and Receive: Relinquish the need to figure everything out immediately.
Benefits of Flowing
Increased Efficiency: Things fall into place more naturally without constant struggle.
Higher Creativity: Inspiration flows better when the mind is relaxed.
Less Stress/Burnout: Releasing control leads to peace of mind and less exhaustion.
Greater Authenticity: Being present and acting in accordance with what feels natural.
How to Practice Flowing
Stop Forcing: If a situation causes extreme exhaustion or constant obstacles, it might be a sign to pause and re-evaluate.
Surrender Control: Accept that some things cannot be rushed and need time to unfold.
Be Present: Focus on the now rather than worrying about the future.
Use Mindful Effort: Work with, not against, the current circumstances.
*** true power lies in adaptability and trusting the unfolding of life.
Now for the big question. Would I be where I am today if I just flowed rather than forced? I’m thinking probably not but I’ll never know. Maybe flow socially and force in business. A give and take in life perhaps.
It’s an every day fight but I’ll never let them win.
Did we learn nothing??
I had to laugh out loud but all good jokes have some elements of the truth.
Deep into the thrill of the win. Way to go boys.
And people wonder why I still lay in front of the TV to watch. I’ll never forget our first remote controlled TV.
Is there anyone here from Greenland or very familiar with Greenland? I’m just curious about daily life there beyond what can be researched. Would you and/or the people around you welcome or vote to be a territory of the United States or is this a repulsive thought?
