So far, each Avatar movie has had an emotionally significant moment where one character says "I see you" to another, showing that one character finally understands the other and concluding the development of their relationship arc. In A1, it was Neytiri to Jake, acknowledging that she understands he is now truly devoted to the na'vi side and she forgives him for helping Quaritch, which concluded their conflict over Jake's lies and established them as partners. In A2 it was Jake to Lo'ak, acknowledging that he understands his son for all his recklessness and bravery, the same traits that led to Neteyam's death, but also led to Payakan's life being saved, Spider getting rescued, and Jake's life also getting saved. Presumably, this was the conclusion to the issues caused by Lo'ak trying desperately to live up to Jake and Jake getting upset when Lo'ak's desperation leads to reckless decisions, and the two will have a healthier relationship moving forward.
Assuming Avatar 3 follows the same pattern, who do you think will get the "I see you" moment in Fire and Ash?
Between Neytiri and Spider, understanding each other and finally leading to resolution in their conflict? Between Tsireya and Lo'ak, following in Jake and Neytiri's footsteps and establishing them as the next romantic leads? Between Varang and Quaritch, if they form and alliance and Varang brings Quaritch over to the na'vi side? Between Jake and Neytiri again if what Zoe Saldana has hinted at about the two of them parting ways is true?
I feel like there's so many possibilities! What do you guys think?
i’m so tired of authors not tagging correctly because they don’t want to “spoil the fic”
correctly tagging your fic allows readers who DON’T want to read things like major character death, gore, mpreg or whatever may be their squick to filter your fic out from the main ship/fandom tag. not including the correct tags on your fic is harmful to readers and i’m tired of pretending it’s not.
