I’m in a yapping mood so want to give an update as to what I’ve been doing art wise

Barnstormer is still underway(although no one cares-). I haven’t posted about it much because 1. To be honest, I just forget I have a tumblr and intend to share this story here, and 2. I’ve been very meticulous about this comic. I want everything to be right before I begin to share it in earnest.

I’ll be honest; I’ve had a script written for a sort of short pilot to the story exist for a long time now, maybe like a year or two it’s been sitting? I really need to actually draw it so I can begin to show what I really have here.

This guy has a new design

Bayu has been very difficult to… well, everything about him. His design has gone through many iterations and took so long to settle on anything. I’ve been waffling back and forth on two paths I can take his character.

I have enough content that I could begin chapter one of the story. I haven’t yet, though. I’m being too careful I know, but I want all the major story beats to be decided on and the plotholes filled in before I begin in earnest. I want the comic to feel coherent all the way through.

I tried animation for the very first time

I do want to do more with it in the future. One of my favorite activities is daydreaming character amvs on car rides, and with this new skill unlocked I could definitely work on what’s been bouncing around in my head for awhile.

That’s really it. I regret not being more active on my blog, because I don’t really have any followers anymore. I don’t think anyone cares, but it’s still fun for me to make this post saying I’m still here, still working on my little project. Still hoping to get out someday.

One thing that really got me about episode 6 was the scene where Gangle was worried about what Jax would do to her. “You don’t deserve to think about him when he’s not even around.” It’s been mostly played for comedy before but this episode threw into sharp focus how abusive their relationship is. It’s something I wish people talked about more- or at all. So this exists now.

I intend to do Zooble and Ragatha as well, since Jax also abuses them to a certain degree- but I never follow through with these things so I’m posting this separately instead of making it a collage

Faijra can be rather stoic and cold. Outwardly she rarely shows any emotion other than anger. In the face of ridicule she remains silent. She doesn’t manage her emotions well, often choosing to bury them rather than allow herself to work through the pain. Often her pain comes out as anger. She is brave and selfless, always willing to step up to the task. She grits her teeth and gets the job done, not letting her emotions hold her back. She has a natural instinct to care for and protect others. Socially she is not a conversationalist and often struggles with finding the right words. Around friends she’s the chill and sassy type, and enjoys teasing.

“Lionhearted” I think is a good way to describe her.

I’ve had a bit of a rough week. This summer I got a job at a dog boarding facility. We’re super busy since it’s summer and for the past like two weeks we’ve been at full capacity, which is about 30+ dogs. People think it’s all fun and games and petting dogs all day but it’s not. That’s 30+ dogs that all need to be exercised, fed, picked up after, every kennel cleaned and sanitized at least once a day but usually more. There’s weathers hot and stormy so fleas are starting to get bad and we’ve had four dogs come in with them. My own barn is infested with them and my own dog and after 10 days I still can’t get rid of them despite a good flea treatment, which means I can’t even cuddle my own dog at night. Most days it’s just me and my boss, and she’s usually handling the paperwork so really it’s just me to care for all the dogs. I work 30+ hours a week. My feet are blistered from all the running around. And we’ve had quite a few jumpers so my arms are all torn and scratched up. I don’t even get a break at home because the storms have caused water damage to my bathroom, my shower decided to break for no darn reason, and my parents are giving the house some add ons so everything’s a mess at the moment. Might not even get my normal day off tomorrow because my coworker who covers the afternoon shift may or may not be sick, no word on what the deal is atm.

The irony of using N for this isn’t lost on me lol. He’d probably adore my job.

Cryptids

”Cryptid” is the term used for the inhabitants of Barnstormers world. The word refers to anything that we would describe as having a human level of sentience and intelligence. A fox and a kitsune may be of similar species, but a fox is not a Cryptid.

The term was first coined by humans long ago, to describe the supernatural, and is still used long after humans died off.

It replaces words like “person” or “people.”

let's talk about the old abysstale

I've said it before and I'll say it again, just because the old version of Abysstale is canceled doesn't mean it has to be a part of it.

I know this was my first Undertale fan comic since Undertale started a long time ago.

I didn't like the old Abysstale because it was messy, disorganized, and make no sense.

I said that the old Abysstale and the new Abysstale are not the same thing, that is, separate.

I made a mistake by saying that wasn't very clear.

What I mean is that the new Abysstale is a remake of the old Abysstale. Something that was supposed to make more sense of the story and characters.

Which means you shouldn't take the old version of Abysstale seriously, as if it were part of it. It isn't.

I've seen people downloads my old version of Abysstale to another site without my permission. I'm not okay with that.

I understand that you want people to see the first old version of Abysstale.

But at the end of the day, I'm still the creator of old and new Abysstale comics.

I've deleted all the pages from the old version was because it can create more confusion and people who don't know much about it might take this story seriously and then be more confused about the story suddenly becoming different from the other version.

You can still enjoy the old version of Abysstale. But keep in mind that the old Abysstale shouldn't be taken seriously.
