So I've run Sabbat games for YEARS (players choice, my players are all just maladjusted nutjobs except one) I've killed more Sabbat packs than most Cam Princes lol. The one biggest takeaway from Sabbat games I have run has been just how effective, AND diverse "Shovelhead" practices can get. I've had packs that used the shovel as the initial "recruitment implement" "fuck charming them" *THWACK* and burying you in a graveyard? laaaaaaaaaaaaaaame, Passe', anachronistic. Things I've seen done. (and done to players myself) Shovelhead(PCs &NPCs) wake up.... ~~ in a cement mixing truck mixer, and it's on. ~~ Sealed in the walk in Freezer of a currently burning Applebees ~~ in a Kennel at the airport ~~ thrown into a Trains Oil Car full of water(fuck you, you don't need air) ~~ left in a Halloween "haunted house" ~~ Delivered to the county Morgue as "dead ppl" ~~ thrown into a "death pit" with all the other shovel heads to let "Darwin sort them out" ~~ Dropped into the sewers to be "the Nossies problem now" ~~ Left outside the ER "overdosing" ~~ and stuffed into a crate to be "delivered" before they wake up
My advice for starting Sabbat stories, start them off with a bang, and keep the half-baked plans and random chaos coming. Let them go nuts, and beat your players half to death with the consequences. Rowdy, over the top Sabbat packs have a short shelf life in the best of circumstances. Sabbat packs that operate like the Camarilla, now those are the shrewd fuckers that get somewhere.
