friendly reminder to support the independent artists you love. in doing so, you’re not just supporting the effort and the financial costs it took to create that song or that painting, you’re supporting the amount of time an artist gave up to create that piece. time they could’ve been getting more sleep or kissing a person they love. time they could’ve spent listening to other songs or reading other books instead of creating something new. you buying that tshirt or that chapbook could mean the difference in the artist making rent that month or being able to buy the materials for your next favorite thing.

I just want to thank all the family and friends taking care of and helping their close ones with mental illnesses. It’s so damn hard to be strong for them as well as yourself day in and out and I just want to say I appreciate and am so damn proud of you for being there for the ones that need it the most. I know it’s hard on you too. You’re not forgotten.
