I made both these booties from the same pattern but I feel like they don’t look the same...

So I made my first mitten today. It’s not perfect but I’m not complaining for my first attempt.

Since the child I plan on giving this to has two hands I supposed I had better start on the next one.

About a year ago I got the bright idea to knit a king sized blanket. Over the spring and summer I stopped work on it for baby shower gifts and such but I’ve decided to force myself to knit through one more ball of yarn before I start anything else. The pattern has 12 rows in it and each repeat is maybe an inch of blanket. Blanket is about seven feet wide so each row takes about a half hour for me (not necessarily the fastes knitter). So it’s safe to say when I finish this blanket it will be a long time before I a) use this pattern again and b) make a blanket again.

The good thing about it is that it keeps me warm now that fall is coming. Maybe by the time spring rolls around I’ll have it covering my toes. Lol.

I think it’s going to be a while before I make another toy. So much sewing... and I’m not the greatest at embroidery. Still a couple finishing touches but I’m done for tonight.

Slippers I made for my mom for mother’s day. My great-grandmother used to make these all the time.
