Guys hear me out, there is popular headcanon that Eddie before the split acted more like Volt, and i just want to see more people acknowledge that history of his, like he is OLD with history with all different life,i saw few fanfics mentioning that, and I was thrilled \(°∆°)/

Like yeah i love him with his all sarcastic and grumpy personality,Eddie is Eddie, but it doesn't mean that he is always like that. Let's say after the reset he feels better, ain't he? Well with time and Volts' and Livewires' bit of nudging, he might start sometimes switch with Volt as presenter at the Open mike or just at the club in general.

Or common i bet Rainey went to Breakerbox really often before she had the accident, and Eddie got more closed off, I bet they were or great friends, or something more. I want them to go at it on the dance floor old style dancing and all!

Let the man shine, even if he might be nervous before it, I think Volt would be even more thrilled than me about such prospect of seeing his man being on stage and the dancefloor =}

( Correct me if I am wrong, because I can't read all fanfics in fandom maybe I just didn't find such yet, would be happy for recommendations :3 )

Behind the curtains🧡🩵

"That's a bad idea, right?" a rough and slightly nervous voice echoed in the dressing room of Breakerbox, as the static of anticipation was hung in the whole club, as all objects in the house gathered tonight for the suprise that was promised few weeks ago.

"Nonsense,love! It's the best idea. Don't frett so much." More gentler voice, that tried to reassure the other murmured as it's owner was fixing up the others makeup before the grand act of weeks.

Suddenly slight creak of the door startled both men as the third head got into the room, that was you carrying freshly cleaned and perfect last pieces of clothing for Eddie!

"Do I hear second guesses other here?" You carefully carried everything so to speak new vest and jacket that's has the usual wires and panel like details that boys usually wear, just a tad bit something more what Volt would wear.

"No! Well yes, no." Eddie exclaimed then imidietly got quiet as he grumbled next thing.

"Do i have to do that? Let's say that all this thing is cancelled some equipment problems-"

"No" both you and Volt said calmly. As you two grinned with spark in your eyes.

"No way! I have run around whole house for days trying to find perfect clothes for ya."

"And I thought that we encouraged you enough, to finally not to shy away from showing your shine" by that moment Volt already finished with Eds' hair and makeup looking really damn satisfied.

They both now turned around to look into wall mirror as Eddie hesitantly checked himself his brows furrowed and Volt leaned closer to him to hold onto his shoulders.

"You look magnificent, spark"

You trailed closer to them as your eyes filled with wonder, with two fingers you gently moved Eddie to face you with tilt of the head you gave a satisfied nod.

"More than magnificent, electric, shining."

Eddie only by that point had blush dusted more of the natural one than the makeup one, his hand already went to go through his hair in habit as he didn't look at any of you, but Volt caught his wrist lightly.

"We just managed to tame those wires of yours."

Volt said with slight pout as he changed his hold to intertwine Eddie's fingers with his.

"Can I do atleast something?"

"Yeah,change your clothes, and do your best."

You murmured as you did encouragment kiss on the head, and started to help him out of his usual clothes.

"But most importantly enjoy yourself,mhm"

With slight sighs and grumbling from Eddie,you and Volt got him changed. And well saying anything was hard because you nor Volt ever saw Eddie being dressed this fancy. You two love him of course even in his usual style, but all you two could now is admire him.

"Well that's something surreal" you whispered with awe,then smirked."is it really Eddie? He doesn't look like someone who could curse somebody out of the club."

"If ya continue teasing you might as well see if I am real then."

He mumbled as he slightly fixed his clothes, but more like just tried to do something with his hands to stop his nerves.

"Let's not get distracted it's all about to start!"

Volt was already bouncing away from hidden, or not so excitement. As guessed he was for today on bar dutie, so one lazy hair bun was done with help of metal rod, and none of his usual jacket in sight, it was nice to see him be in more relaxed state also.

"I'll see you inside" he said that more to you than to Eddie because he would see him then Eddie would be at the spot light.

The moment Volt left, your attention was back to Eddie and the silent worry and terror was plastered on his face.

"Oh honey" you hurried to his side and took his hands in yours. "You know me and Volt don't mean that you HAVE to do it? Sorry,if we pushed too much-" You already started rambling on the thought of him not needing to do all that as you were saying:"I can go catch Volt and we can do something else-"

With slightly tighter grip on your hands Eddie raised his eyes to yours, now he was more determined. Ooh he wasn't about to worry Volt or you about that, he knew how excited you two were about this ordeal, and he would lie if he said he wasn't also. It was just so weird, he haven't been in such role for years since Volt appeared,but he does miss it a bit.

"You look more of a wreck about all this than me." He smirked slightly as he was taking testing breaths to calm his nerves. "Go enjoy the show. And don't even think to look away or I will think that you two are disappointed."

The moment his usual sarcasm got back, you relaxed and kissed him on the forehead and made sure not to smudge the makeup.

The same way as Volt you bounced away quickly to get the best spot at the bar to see the stage. As he watched you running away with amusement he felt better. In last comment you said only for you two to hear.

"Good luck! And don't screw your wires,you will be electrifying up there!"

Well you did love electric jokes.

With now only him and his thoughts in the room, and single last minute, he looked at himself in the mirror fixing nothing and everything, smiling.

Well that felt familiar, the rush before the start, the anticipation of the audience. Yeah, he feels mighty fine to show them that Volt ain't the only one, who can amaze the room with one word.

At that he went on stage, the air in the room felt tense, but in a good way, and he for sure knew he had two starstruck pair of eyes watching him from across the room.

With microphone in hand with deep and relaxed voice but still striking to the ear, he started the night.

"Welcome to the Breakerbox, dear audience. Tonight we are up to see fantastic objects to perform, and I hope to see later on everyone on the dance floor, for some old classic twists and dips"

Everyone were silent at the Eddies opening. Why? Well mostly oldies of the house amazed and surprised to see him up there again and some of the fresh ones just knocked off their feet by seeing Eddie of all people on stage.

"Hope yall enjoy the show."

He said with light smirk on his face, looking around the audience as he leaned slightly away from microphone, and then he flinched then room erupted from applause and rumble around the room. Nice feeling filled his chest,from such enthusiastic welcome.

He went on to help Miranda and her band with equipment on stage, but he saw now and then how some looked at him like the same way they look at Volt, he imidietly looked away, so no one could notice how red he was.

Only ones that kept their eyes on him still, and only him, even thought the band started to play on stage, were you and Volt, as promised you didn't look away, not even for a moment. Volt even with small pauses to do the orders, also kept his full attention on Eddie.

Yep that was amazing for everyone.

Honestly it's just a bunch of sketches small drawings with my sparks, that i have done through like well since the game was out! Funny thing I did have a huge time gap from my first time being in a fandom to my second one right now, but this time this two really hit me like a truck-

Loved to do these, i got mostly inspiration from people who did yumeshipp stuff ideas, it's all just cute! And I loved the process of figuring out how to even draw them, and what i would want to add to them, at the same time i was working on my homeowner sona,her first look is on the last two pictures! Thought i love her right now more simpler clothes.

There is also first drawing of them as X-Men from my au, loved it from first sight, thought colours might change. In the mix Sanrio(such smoll little),and Nightmare Before Christmas?(For my sona is Corpse Bride).

I know everyone got so much interesting ideas, I thought my aus were weird, well i saw that there is a fanfic about them in hunger games and so much more! I now gotta do more stuff with them like that. And other people should too!

About the setting or timeline

I am not sure at what time line i would pin-point their setting in this au, because if we are considering comic books or animated series(the one from the 90s, and it has continued as X-Men97), I would prefer the comic book version, it has wider range of timelines we can work with. Totally before Krakoa, i would say around the next wave of X-men, like a bit after when Kurt and Ororo and some others joined, then it becomes more lively basically.

It could be, of course, easier if i used like the Fox film series of X-Men, because it has a considerably easier timeline, thought it's really messed up actually. I tried to figure it out for a while with a friend, but it was just a set back from the film writers. Though I still love the movies (not all of them, there is one that's like eh-). But keeping on track, comic books storytelling are more fun to work with.

Light idea on how they would become a part of the X-Men

Ed and Volt most definitely met in the mansion, Volt would be a new addition to institute with a big catastrophy following him. Most likely the basic thingy of some mutant hater after his ass, thought i can try to think of some dramatic backstory for him, I just didn't have that much context or ideas to set it up from. However i can work with something of him having more visible mutation than some, it could go with him being hated through life, but his powers came only like in his teenage years, I could add a pinch of him feeling really bad about his changes🤏

We know he is one handsome fella, so I think he might be self aware about how different he looks compared to his younger years, but it ain't as bad as Beast had it.

For Eddie, I think he had it more peacefull, probably he came there himself, because why not? He can at least use his powers for something useful. He must have went there due to the feeling of responsibility for being a mutant, a part of huge community, which he can help with his powers. Or he could also has some background, as like he has survivor's guilt, or more likely he had someone in the past who he could save with his ability, but due to the fear of being exposed as a mutant, he was too hesitant and it was too late to do anything, well that's an idea for sure!

NOW HOW THEY MET🫪

Now imagine this, it's regular fight or die situation in the institute, everything's on fire, people screaming, fighting and just trying to survive another day-

Eddie, as a healer resident of school, working his ass off to make sure no one dies, but he runs out of charge! Volt on the other hand, tries to fight off Sentinels, all blue mode that we love, and well Eddie takes the opportunity and catches energy from a stray lighting from Volt. It was like nothing that he had used before, so much energy and life, he felt like he could heal up everyone and two more rounds of people.

What I would want to think, is that Volt would feel this thing like something from his excessive energy is being taken and transformed into something new and beautiful?(I don't know man, it's like hard to explain, but i feel like something dangerous being turned into something that saves lives is amazing). At some point in battle they totally met eachothers glances and worked together, getting into similar wave of thinking, like something clicked right, like a spark that went between them literally and mentally, was the opening to two people who didn't see eachother much before just opened something new and beautiful.

THEY FELL IN LOVE IN THEIR FIRST BATTLE, AIN'T IT WONDERFUL? Just covered in dirt, sweat and blood at their probably worst moment, raw emotions and all.

Of course they took time with it, but i think Volt would be really impatient and quick, like in a couple of months they would start dating💕

Okiii for this one it's quite enough, I hope it ain't too long for such small range of info, but it's just so interesting to think about!

I hope more people will consider this au interesting (I just really hope someone will yap about it also 🙏, niche I know, but let the girl dream)

So basically how it looked for everyone in the house to meet Volt then he just appeared one day in the house, like what the hell is this bundle of electricity doing here?💙⚡

Okay so i am writing another rant about electro boys and homeowner but it's more self indulgent about homeowner due to my current state.(Also adding my silly little stupid homeowner, she might and will change her looks at some point but it's her! I changed glasses. Sorry to Skylar but hey more hearts, I guess?)

REALLY SAYING IT'S SUPER SELF-INDULGENT

So in my most of aus and idea about homeowner of my version, they are like a real overthinker, always wanting to do right, not to make any mistakes then helping anybody or doing anything. So then they now know that all their objects in the house are sentient, they have the feeling of obligation to help them, they all are THEIR objects and their responsibility, gosh that would damn kill me, like not only talking that you are watched at all the time, about that a lot of fans have talked about,and that you have to keep your image, and even so you have different relationship with every object, not like i hate any of them but some or not my favourite but it is how it's supposed to be they are someone for everybody to love and hate, and so then there are someone like Fantina(hope her name is right) or Hector who are like canonically(not fully sure how much, i did not get to their routs yet, but saying from general knowledge, without hate, maybe they are more comfortable to me than i think i just don't know yet) really know a lot about homeowners life, i would feel immediately uncomfortable and ashamed.

Like now they have to act certain way, and what if others know all shameful stuff of homeowner, and just most of them do know like not them having a job now or that don't have anybody over that much, just like there is no full fresh start. So they just try to act all careful and like basically they become damn gray line, at least before objects saw that homeowner has a personality, but now they are not bad not good not fully them, they would need someone's little push to feel like home again (in their own home, nice joke i know).

About obligation again, honestly if homeowner would just need to feel like they need to do something, or they would feel just useless and probably fall into routine of laying in bed doom scrolling and just not feeling anything. That would lead them to being a people pleaser, like in the game most of us want a good ending with all characters, but looking logically it's pretty much impossible if you don't want to be a rag to walk on, so my homeowner would struggle like hell with that. But at the same time it would frustrate them a lot, maybe to the point of snap,i really think we need a lot of fanfics there homeowner can't help it and snaps aggressively with all poison and pain at everyone, like they don't want to do that but all that they didn't ask for but others might do it their problem, or homeowner makes it their problem, there is no fully right or left.

Going next about Volt,as much as i love Volt, hell i would be real careful with flirts and all, not my jazz, because what if he is just friendly? What if he wanna do something not nice, like we just met him and he is like that, my homeowner(okay saying her in game name, as cheesy as it may be it's Lovi),Lovi would overthink it and just be really careful only if he would continue despite her awkwardness a bit she would try to know him better like chat more or something, if he would even be interested, that he is.

With Eddie eh, hard to say, i like someone who is straight forward like i can understand such people immediately, but i would have to fight through awkwardness then i see the problem with electricity in Breakerbox, Lovi would ask like side ass questions here and there before she would get too nervous and ask straightforwardly and say that if he and Volt need help, she would do it because partly she is at fault for that(her not even thinking to look what is up with Breakerbox as an object before), i just think Eddie would look at her with confusion and suspicion and she already would be all nervous and ready to run away with his first word.

Don't even get me strated if she would ask wrong question to Volt and he would get all protective side about Eddie, she would shake in her boots and then never come back to Breakerbox (as sad as it may sound). I don't think she would be scared of them, she is not, she just doesn't want to get on their bad side, that leads her to nothing.

Like if somebody would drag her to Breakerbox(maybe just to chill and relax, because eh Lovi is not a drinker, like myself), yeah she would be awkward, but like anyone in place there can be party if she would be dragged to the dance floor and with right people( for me it would someone like Skylar, or Beverly,Bev is one of my fav, totally someone who could distract me), Lovi might get distracted enough to move along with mood and get more open with any interaction in the club so if Volt would talk to her at that moment she would be more than happy to be more open and even dance a bit with banter.

Okay so let's say she got more confidence in situation and she went again to ask Eddie to help, and good old tired sarcasm from both sides let her get to help Eddie, that would be the easiest part,yeah again anxiety of doing something wrong would annoy Eddie, because she would ask questions a lot but she would do the job. Also after few hours she would start to do sarcastic remarks with dark self deprivating humour,that i believe Eddie also has, so that would be a competition who has it worse. On that she could bond with Eddie. Like who doesn't like deprivating humour? Best way to get to know someone is through humour, and you can see that other person is pretty strong mentally in my opinion if they can laugh about they hardships!

Only thing Lovi would(not in my run i got their love ending from the first time) tell Volt somehow about helping Eddie, because she feels guilty about hiding something like that from him, like she is not blind or dumb, she can see a people with deep connection before her eyes, she believes it's a right thing to do, well how we all know, it's actually not. Eh we would get fried homeowner and full life ban from Breakerbox🥲

Like i truly understand Volt in a way, and hell Lovi would over analyse and feel guilty, but it wouldn't help at all.

I have an au that leads from that point but with a twist a really out of the logic(honestly in that game there is no logic in a good way so anything can happen,love that!🙏💖), that i use as my main story line then i think of date everything stories and such, it is heavily inspired by a lot of fanfics that I read! Everyone are so inspiring i just wanna put every interesting bit and thoughts, and it will be really cheesy, but that's the fun of fanfics.

I will have posted a drawings of my homeowner in that au, but it will be exactly with rant about the story of au and i will try to find the authors of the fanfics on ao3 or Tumblr to put the credits to or the names of their fanfics, because i feel like it would be right-

Geez that one hell of a talk, i did say it's really self-indulgent. This game with all its freedom of ideas really helps me to think through stuff and make it good for au(like damn I thought of more drama than could even write, i should really try writing fanfics, especially of homeowner who snaps, that would be soo sooo satisfying, like that one fanfic or homeowner needing to fight, it had different bit a bit, but still it hit right spot in my heart, also will find it's name later).

Eh i actually wanted to write some sweet post of how Volt and Eddie would help overthinker homeowner calm their spiraling and how they both would have understanding about it. Like they all three have their own problems, that are really hard to express, as much as they might love eachother,it is very hard to do, so they would need to push eachother to open up and they let eachother at their own time be vulnerable.

Okay, this thought is for the next time!

AHHH my loves my hearts i damn love their design for X-Men au like i adore it :> ,like Volt slays and Eddie is being comfy; Volt wears enough hero spandex for both of them-

Basically it's just a sketch(really rough and not clean at all😌)of them in my smoll au about them being X-Men and mutants and all that! I think like everyone in date everything could thought through with some mutation i wanna think more about it

If talking a bit about their thing, Volt is pretty obvious, like he is THE electricity, he has to wear gloves to not shock anyone, i know there are electric guys and gals in Marvel but i don't really care more shocks for everybody💙⚡

Eddie is more complicated idea. I wanted to have mutation for him that would lead him to overworked feeling and drained, and it would have him helping nearly everyone in Xavier's school, so i thought it's kinda like Rogue But he can choose how much and then he takes energy(luckier than her, I didn't want to break him with sad mutation), energy can be anything to life energy to just electricity, so here is their tandem with Volt! What he does with energy? Well, i thought to make it that he reuses it to sent to somebody else to like give their bodies energy to heal faster, he is medic basically but can be a fighter if needed he just tended not to like field missions so he doesn't go that often(I don't care if Scott or somebody else would make him go, Volt says no and that's final😌).

I think they two would hang out with guys who are chill most of the time, like i sure can see Volt sometimes with Ororo(i really wanna do like mentor student thing), totally Nightcrawler also they just be sweet guys, and maybe Rogue and Gambit they seem like the vibe(i really like this two also). Eddie would be around Beast probably? Like lab medics or something, maybe also Ororo and whoever Volt hangs with, i have to think about it, maybe even Logan but like it would be two grumpy men sitting in silence and enjoying just company nearby.

Oooh i really want to rant more about it, i will totally make more sketches and doodles just to do yapp thingy(it will be toooo much of text if i sent it in one post🥲)!

Hope somebody finds this au interesting, because i just adore both fandoms and i needed to get them into one to survive my two hyper fixations
