I asked you about the internal conflict a while back. Is there a way to make the character's internal conflict much more convincing? Right now, the character's problems comes off as quite bland.

It should get in the way of the character achieving their motives and since it’s the central conflict, it should be present most of the time whether its presence is strong or not. This conflict is what holds back the character from moving forward. It has an effect on your character’s decisions, behavior, thoughts, and feelings. In order to get to the motive, they must overcome this internal conflict and to make it believable, it should fall into place and come off as natural.

When writing situations that your character is in, think about how their doubts and internal conflict will change the way they react to or act in these situations. Do they completely avoid this situation? Do they work their way around it? Are they hesitant? Afraid? Worried? Does the behavior caused by their internal conflict get them into trouble? Are others frustrated with this character because of their behavior?
