Slightly cropped photo of a study I'm doing for a piece called "The Sentry" The Sentry is a skeleton being with wings and living organisms growing out of it. It is a being that watches over the souls of the world to grant them passage into the afterlife. As such, this being is a guardian between the world of the living and that of the departed, and so it is life and death embodied in one. Y'all. This is my most complex drawing in my entire art career... I've come close.. But never as detailed as this. It was a lot of work, a lot of pain for my hand, but a lot of fun, too.
