This time I’m covering Sam, Maxis, and Victis crew. Gonna probably add some more fun facts about previous boys. Let’s do this

Maxis has been apart of Oni for many, many years. Not only has he been a very loyal man, he truly believes in their cause, pure humanity first behavior. He has been a mentor to Richtofen, serving as sort of a father figure. However, as Maxis began to climb the ladder, he became far less in the sciences and more interested in the politics of Oni. This, and Richtofen’s own indifference towards Oni as a whole, has caused a wedge between them, becoming more that of merely boss and employee than friends over the years.
In the past, Maxis suffered from the tragedy of his wife dying shortly after the birth of his daughter, Samantha. He suffered once again when Samantha also passed in a few short years later. This even made him colder, and became the man he is today, whose goal is to make sure to cripple the Covenant, and then finish his plans to completely crush all insurrectionist activities.
However, he is unaware of the sick truth that Richthofen has hidden from him for the past 20 years…

Growing up in the outer colonies, it was easy for the people to distrust the Government, especially when it focused more on all the inner colonies. So it came to no surprise when Stuhlinger ended becoming an insurrectionist. Of course, troubles arose as the UNSC attempted to put down his group, members killed off one by one. It wasn’t until the war began that the real problems began, where his planet was attacked by the Covenant. With a lack of food and supplies, the group resorted to the only other food supply; eating from the bodies of the dead covenant. It was better than eating humans.
He would be the sole survivor of his group, and would end up being taken in by Russman, and the pair escaped the planet, before meeting up with Misty and Marlton shortly after landing on another planet, where a strange and horrific infection began to spread, destroying all life, human and covenant alike…

Misty was a young child when humanity made first contact with the Covenant on Harvest. She was forced to witness her parent’s deaths, before evacuating the planet with other survivors. She was taken in by her aunt and uncle, and grew up with a hatred for the Covenant. When she was of age, she enlisted into the UNSC, and raised hell against the people that took away her home and family.
She eventually found herself on a planet that was attacked by Covenant, and had her teamed completely whipped out. She found Marlton after the covenant began to glass the planet, and soon after met Russman and Stuhlinger when they crashed on the planet.

Marlton was lucky compared to most. For most of the war, his home planet was spared from the fighting, leaving him plenty of time to hone his intelligence. He was recruited by the UNSC to help build weapons and to learn about the Covenant and their weapons. He also worked with Oni from time to time, but he keeps them at an arms length when he can.
His luck ran out, however, when the Covenant eventually found his planet, and began their invasion. He survived by locking himself in a shelter when they began to glass the planet. He was found later by Misty.
Russman

Not much is known about Russman’s early years, but what IS known that he was a high profile Oni agent for many, many years. He has plenty of skeletons in the closet, and had a hand in plenty of operations. In fact, he saw the early stages of Richtofen’s pet project, that even Maxis himself did not know the depths of that very project.
But all agents eventually outlive their usefulness, and Russman was no exception. He was left in the dust, so he took a ship, a dumb ai, and ran off. Eventually, he found and picked up Stuhlinger, and left off planet, eventually running into Misty and Marlton.
Samantha Maxis
Spartan
Dynamic with Richtofen is hot/cold
Doesn’t remember her father’s face or know if he’s alive
On the record, Samantha Maxis died very young, only 6 years old, and has been gone for over 10 years.
The reality is, Samantha was one of the many children across the Colonies, specifically chosen by Richtofen, to be used and experimented on and turned into the most perfect, powerful soldiers humanity has ever seen. Thus, she was taken by Oni agents, replaced by a flash clone, and taken to Reach to be indoctrinated into the Spartan program.
Samantha was one of the best of the program, managing to become an elite soldier, and became Richtofen’s most prized possession. He inserts himself somewhat as a ‘mentor’ figure for her, but his concern for her is shallow at best.
Despite her best attempts, even the best Spartan cannot prevent death, nor could she protect everyone. Humanity is losing, but she will not let it fall without a fight. She is onboard the UNSC ship that has found the Halo ring, and is ready to stop the Covenant from using it to potentially bring Humanity to its knees.
Bonus lore for all characters currently in the AU!
Maxis knows of the Spartan program, but even he is denied information, due to Oni knowing his personal biases would have made him a liability if he knew about Samantha
Richtofen has no regrets about what he did. He never will.
Tank has met Samantha once. He does not respect Spartans.
Teddy knows of Samantha, and was made specifically to seek her out if he had the chance. Unfortunately, Tank found him first, and has no idea Samantha is on board the same ship as him.
Tah'keo is one of the youngest Ultra Honor Guards in history. He had worked hard to earn this rank, and is very proud of it. Might even become Kaidon of his keep.
Richtofen is alive. But no one in universe knows where he is or what he’s doing.

they wanna bring back ultimis but make him serious like primis and they fumble it so fucking bad, like holy shit. They’re afraid of making actual antagonist Richtofen who is actually competent and scary, but will gladly use weak racist ass characterization because “oh hes a nazi isnt he SO BAD” like no he’s fucking pathetic and is nothing but a fraud compared to his predecessors
they should have kept director richtofen because you could actually have something somewhat interesting with his connection to Samantha and the Aether story

Realizing my fav dynamic between primis Tank and Richtofen is the world’s messiest situationship where they both don’t/can’t tell the other they caught feelings and never really get the chance to before fate pulls them apart over and over again in an endless, painful cycle
Now imagine this dynamic with the fact that the Richtofen we end up with is from the Great War and lost his Tank and friends already so he doesn’t have the same feelings towards Tank because that’s not his Tank and he is just a stranger with the same eyes that haunt him
While Tank is forgetting his Richtofen, not knowing he left him for dead in some pocket dimension before he could ever make up with him and tell him he loves him.
