"I'll give them a screen face cuz those are always cool"
"oh and he'll be inspired to be a Kamen rider from watching a tokusatsu tv show."

Kamen Rider Fourze Review
kamen rider fourze is exactly what it set out to be. A fun light hearted series.
It felt most similar to W I'd say. Super basic, very monster of the week (and power up of the week). Very infectiously fun cast and main character. His bigger power ups being literally built around his friendships is great.
Speaking of the friends they're all fairly good (despite the fact I forgot all their names (this is normal for me))
Space girl in the space season is just infectiously passionate about space and bounces well off Gentaro to establish his friendyness.
Kengo as the immediate opposite who thinks Gen is dumb and shouldn't be helping and has an almost in invisible slide into friendship that I can't even say when the change was but didn't feel unnatural
The queen wanting the school to be better but also being kinda rude about was an interesting subversion of the "popular girl is secretly mean behind people's back" trope. Cuz she doubles down on it and says "yeah your gifts did suck cuz you clearly didn't think about what I'd actually like"
Football guy feeling like he's in his father's shadow following his orders to a path of greatness while unintentionally pushing all his friends away, culminating in him destroying the symbol of his father's expectations to be with his friends.
The witch girl feeling alone and hated by the world seeing the moon as an escape from reality where she can become something new that people will like. Only for Gen to bring her to the moon and show her it's nothing special an unchanging rock, and so she realizes she doesn't need to change she just needs to find friends who will accept her.
And JK didn't start interesting, he was basically using people for his own advantage until he learned his lesson and became friends with Gentaro. But later on we see him struggle on what his life after school will be and has no real prospects so he abondons his friends to accomplish his dreams. But realizes he's not being true to himself and this isn't how he wants to go about his dreams and sticks by his friends
Then there's meteor who believed friends would only betray you in the end, and he disproves his own philosophy because he's being utterly loyal to saving his friend that betrayed him, and Gen isn't even mad when meteor betrays and kills him because he knows he's doing it for his friend.
So it's just fun to see this friend group hang out and save the day really.
The villains aren't that interesting the big bad has something interesting about believing he was a special person chosen by the presenters to see them and so the only person that mattered was him. Only for it to turn out the presenters didn't choose him they didn't choose anybody. They just reached out and it so happened to hear it along with the space girl. So his betrayal was meaningless, but he dies happy knowing that in his process he inspired a generation who would get to see the presenters.
Overall it's a
1,2,3 ,launch/5
It's fun, but it's nothing special, but from what I hear that's what japan needed at the time.
Also I watched project hail merry and it was absolute peak. It's space themed and kinda bout friendship so I'm allowed to talk about it here
I’ve had this queued for 4 fucking years so it’d be reblogged on a Monday. the next time this can be accurately reblogged is in 6 years
no matter the distance, your friendship is always important
Of course you did, Lewa...
The friend who knows the fun facts of the movies and the friend who just wants to watch it in silence
Make up a fun lore fact about Vista on the spot. You have the power (asking because I might draw more fanart of her and need ideas lol hope you don't mind)
I think she'd be hopelessly addicted to Tomodachi Life at the moment. She likes the power of controlling her own little kingdom I think she'd be into those kind of games.

Painted my first model kit WOOOOOOOO!
went to a con this weekend. awesome things happened also, extra:
Tahu and Kopaka having to have leadership roles on Spherus Magna so they have to introduce alternatives to the combat-based bartering and issue-solving method the Agori were using because that would be a terrible basis to start a new society... but internally every time someone gets mad and suggests that they fight champions over the issue at hand they both want to immediately agree soooo bad. Proving that they're right (and better) through combat is so baked into them. plus fighting is fun. imagining either of them turning down a duel is insane. why do they have to be responsible Toa. Lewa is egging them on from the corner. help
Agree to the fight, kick the shit out of their opponent then drags them back to the negotiating table so that they now know that violence won't get them the answer they want.
THESE are the exact kind of thoughts Vakama has to talk Tahu out of twice a week at least
Meanwhile Pohatu, Hewkii, and Onewa are off refereeing disputes settled according to their ancient tradition: kolhii
Takanuva has been telling the story of the kolhii match between him and Teridax with increasing drama to legitimize this alternative
