So I’m typing this up in Google Docs because Tumblr keeps dropping my posts. I’ll try to keep this short. A lot has happened since the last time I posted a video. I’m currently sitting in Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, KS, with a nasal-gastric tube up my nose. How did I get here you ask? Good question. You see, one of my tumors sits right on my upper small intestines, and here recently, it’s begun to clamp off that section. Making it difficult for food to pass through. It got to the point on Saturday and again on Sunday morning that I couldn’t stop vomiting. So on Sunday, we went to the ER in Liberal, KS. And after some testing there, I was transferred here. After two more days of vomiting with no other movements, the decision was made to put in the NG tube and try to decompress my stomach. This along with some IV steroids, we’re hoping will ease my stomach and shrink the tumors enough to get back to normal. Until then I’m haven’t eaten anything since Saturday night. So, I’ll be getting some IV nutrition too soon. Chemotherapy is really the only long term solution here, though. So as soon as my cell counts are back up we’ll start that again. But we’re not sure as to the real plan yet. Anyway, I hope this finds you all doing well and that the next post will be a happier video. It’s difficult to talk with the tube in, so that’s why I’m just making a text post instead of a video. Thank you all for the support! Love and peace!
