I can’t remember if the Doof Wagon was never shown clearly enough to show how it was built, or if I was just too distracted to see who steered it from where.
But this photo made me go “Oh! Well that makes sense” :-)
They did tend to show from “doof stage upwards” but I think it’s more a result of the fact that Doof wearing red drew your eye in every shot he was in. Because yeah, I never looked down at the truck either. From memory the vehicle was built off some sort of military rocket-launcher or similar.
