Your aura is rancid
Lots of drama in our household
The Chinese shoe manufacturer decided to demonstrate the indestructibility of their shoes
And also the indestructibility of that woman's ankles
Y'all for real please do these. Even if you're certain your posture doesn't suck. One day you will wake up with impinged shoulder pain like I did and let me tell you it fucking HURTS. Do these exercises even just once a week and it will make such a difference. Especially my fellow creatives out there, stop shrimping over your work and go do these right now. RIGHT NOW.
Reblog to shrimp check your mutuals

lately my kids have been playing Baby Knife, which consists of somebody acting as a baby with knife hands chasing people while going "baby knife baby knife" over and over. is this a thing or are they just insane
we have a new teacher this year who has never had kindergarten before & she rounded em all up & told em No Baby Knife and No Zombies and idk how to tell her that 1. all kindergarten recess games boil down to Give Birth And Kill Each Other and 2. the absurd vaguely inappropriate games they make up are usually better than when they try to play an Actual game like soccer
Baby Knife is straightforward. theres a baby knife. baby knife chases you. thats about it. when they try to play Real Sports every single child is playing by a different set of rules unbeknownst to the others and none of them are playing by the Actual rules. everybody is mad at everybody else and running up to tell on their colleagues for cheating every 3 minutes. this doesnt happen when they play Baby Knife
if no one's said it, it's normal. It's just Tag with flavor. Tag is boring so you gotta add imagination.
Our baby knife as kids was Raptor Tag. Raptors hunt in packs so the person who was "it" had to run around pretending to be a velociraptor and to tag people they had to actually tackle them and "eat" them for 5 full seconds (others could come to the rescue and save them in that time, but risked getting eaten too or instead if the raptor switched targets). Eaten players then became raptors, until the whole pack was teamwork-hunting the last wily or lucky kid. There were no winning survivors- the game was won as a group once everyone was a raptor.
My kindergarten played "wolves" where a pack of 4-12 children, usually all the girls, would try to chase down and "kill" the deer (usually me)
I was bulled extensively in elementary school, but 1. Mostly by my teachers and 2. Not during this, because we ALL had PBS Nature and as Deer, I was allowed to gouge, kick, bite, keep running even after being grabbed, or body-check the larger children into the picnic tables and other architecture.
You know, for realism.
In point of fact, I was usually The Deer because I was the best at evading/ not going down without a fight, whereas most boys would just start crying or tattle, which is no fun at all.
We were incredibly boring. We played "murder ball" which was just Capture the Flag over the whole school grounds (outdoors only) and violence was permitted using the ball.
#We played Leeches (people run past you and you grab their legs and make them fall)#And Roadkill (body-slam your friends to the ground)#The teachers did not like these games
Your school would've loved Get Down, Mr President
we had British Bulldogs which was where one line of kids had to get past another line of kids (and vice versa) and violence was expected, much like we imagine dodgeball to be
we had a game without a name where basically we climbed on a tall jungle gym like structure and if you got tagged you had to YEET yourself off the structure no matter how high you were and pretend to dramatically die
Our version of cops and robbers allowed the robbers to try to escape the prison (that same jungle gym) and trying to keep people from running got so violent we nearly got the game banned
we also dug a giant hole near the swings in fifth grade
and freshman year, yeah that’s right FRESHMAN YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL, we had a class that lowkey turned into recess when it was warm outside and one day we assigned artificial value to a half deflated blue rubber kickball (I genuinely have no idea what started it or who or why. It was just kinda. Welp this thing is valuable now time for Conflict) and fought a war over it. As freshmen. My friends and I are so normal.
at a summer camp one year the high schoolers played Matahombres (get the ball at all costs, there’s a reason the name translates to Kill People) in the lake, in about chest-deep water. Needless to say, we very quickly had to come up with a signal for “IM FRICKING DROWNING LET ME UP”. Two of the girls were varsity wrestlers, and they were the most feared people in the game. My only advantage as a track and field athlete was kicking people. This game was awesome.
I would contribute to this thread, but I was the odd kid who got left out of every game and didn't even want to participate just sat in my own corner reading and playing with sticks and contemplating the meaning of life and wishing I was in a quiet air conditioned room.
However, me and my little brother, on the rare occasion of us getting along when we were younger, would act out "stories" in the front yard.
We had sticks as weapons and this massive tree we would circle around, and I was the villain, and he was the hero, except neither truly won because every "death" we found a plot convenient way for the other to revive and every "chapter" a different side was winning.
I wasn't usually an outside kid in any way whatsoever, much preferring my indoor caves, but when I tell you me and my brother(both ADHD) would spend HOURS playing this and giggling until we felt sick and forgetting to come inside and eat.
I also always insisted on using a spear or bow like the fantasy warrior woman badass I wanted to be.
in primary school (grade 5-6 maybe) a bunch of the boys and a fair few of the "not like other girls" popular girls and me and one of my friends , who just genuinely wanted to be there and run around, created a game that was basically just tag, i think we called it "something tiggie" but I can't actually remember the name (it lwk might have just been tag), we'd basically just run around the school and gang up on everyone infection style, it was at the time a very thriling game though, we'd have maybe 10-15 people running around the school in places we weren't actually allowed to run trying to evade all the people who were it. We got yelled at by the teachers a lot
also, me and these two guys I was friends with in grade six stole a foam ball from the sports sheb and made a game of just trying to hit each other with it, like dodgeball but 2v1 in the circular area of the school, which we weren't allowed to run in or have a ball, so again, we got yelled at a lot
we also played a lot of red light green light, and pop up tag, these two were teacher mandated though so yk, way less fun
(whenever they mowed the oval we'd throw grass at each other too, teachers didn't like that one)
I'm realising how good my primary school years were now, gosh
I decided to draw it on PC too and make it dramatic.
Please laugh im desperate/j
