mind you when bear said “this is all i ever wanted” and wish nikki said “me too” he said “no it isn’t.” he was not confused or unsure about was was going on. he was aware that nikki didn’t love him. he was aware that he had stripped nikki of her autonomy and trapped her within her own body while a version of her, that only existed because of the wish he made, had taken control of her and he exploited that.
