The continent of Gilt in my current world, Tarnish; sometimes referred to as the lonely continent since it's believed to be the only land. The four great city-states have been built atop the graves of the paragons, the gods of Gilt. Massive walls separate the boundaries of the city-states from the wastes outside. One of the most severe punishments within the city-states is to be banished; you are branded kinless and are forced to live in the wastes, which most believe to be too dangerous a place to survive.
