“No,” Egerton said with a grin. “I’d love to say yes, but no. I think if you are gonna play Elton John, you know that you’re gonna be wearing something pretty outlandish. And if you’re not excited by that, you probably shouldn’t be playing Elton John. You have to relish that and be excited by it, and I was.”

Taron Egerton Tries Out Vlogging (It Doesn’t Work Out)

Taron is actually surprisingly good. The best person I’ve ever trained. He’s a really fast learner. I wanted Taron to look like archery is his second nature. Like it’s fast and dynamic, so he’d shoot an arrow without thinking — Lars Anderson, Taron’s archery trainer. Taron could fire three arrows a second. He could hit moving targets in the air. He was a really impressive archer by the end of the training — Otto Bathurst, director of Robin Hood (2018)
