I look at kids and I feel bad because the future that they’re eagerly looking forward to is going to be devastatingly disappointing. It’s like a cookie that you’re forced to wait an entire day for, causing you to salivate and sit in eagerness until the end of the day finally comes and you take a bite only to realize… that It’s still just a fucking cookie. Adulthood is the overpopularized finish line that we were all looking forward to. I wasted my time fantasizing about “freedom” at the time in my life when I was the most free.
