Jetting to Haaaa-vaaahhdd tomorrow to visit the wonderful Aimee and Vicke before busing to NYC for my last semester of college (WHAT?!).
Twas an interesting winter break. I was a little "down", "depressed", whatever you may call it, but basically not up to my chipper self over the past few weeks. I think it was a mixture of missing Europe/Prague, being bored, the weather, missing friends from school, worried about graduating, etc. But I'm feeling better now after much hermitting, isolation, running, kickboxing, and thinking. It was a productive day today- I applied for graduation today, as well as registered for a half marathon in April. It's time to get back to that New York grind!
Mulled wine is the greatest. Missing Prague mulled wine, of course
So sad to leave Prague....
I guess on to the next stage in my life.
Prague
Don't want to leave Prague. I'm sad tomorrow is my last day. :(
Part of me feels like a traitor posting this picture.... Mainly because I REALLY don't want to leave Prague in 10 days. I love it here too much. I love all my friends here. I love all the memories I have here. I'm not ready to be able to say "I studied abroad" or "I lived in Prague for 4 months." But, nonetheless I am still excited to at least go back to this beautiful scenery in Estes Park, Colorado. The winters there are so peaceful and quiet. It will be my alone time in the mountains to reminisce over my experiences this past semester and figure out what I learned from them.
Old Prague Centre in Christmas
This is what Old Town Square looks like right now- even more magical than you could possibly imagine. I hope it snows or at least flurries once before we leave in two weeks.
Last night I had a dream about leaving Prague (and forgetting to pack my suitcases), and it made me incredibly sad. Not yet ready for this semester to be over- it feels like home here and I've had one of the best few months of my life.
A couple weeks ago Allie, Anna, and I went on our fall break trip to Istanbul, Turkey and Budapest, Hungary. Istanbul was absolutely amazing. A really interesting mix of conservative, Muslim people and also very Western, cosmopolitan. It oddly felt more Western than Prague. The people were very friendly and treated us slightly like royalty- apparently there aren't that many blonde, white girls in Turkey ;).
This has been an absolutely amazing experience and I'm so lucky to have had this opportunity.
Eerie song and music video
I'm really not ready to leave Prague in about a month (or Europe, in general), but the thought of going back to New York City soon after leaving abroad is very comforting. Being in Prague is making me appreciate NYC, and my life there, more than ever before.

Happy Birthday to my bestest friend, Aimee! I miss her. This is a pic of her in Colorado. She is a beautiful person, inside and out :).
BERLIN
Going to Berlin on Saturday with Tori and Kels! Going to be a lovely girls weekend in the bustlin, artistic city of Berlin. I hear it's alot like New York City 10 years ago.
Bill Evans; The Touch of Your Lips
Another beautiful fall weekend in Prague.
Thursday night we went out for another 21st birthday to a bar called the Beer Museum. Naturally, there were many different types of beers to choose from. And naturally, I picked a dark porter. Friday we did homework all day and rested up, went as a group to see Paranormal Activity 3, which was very scary, and also hilarious to watch the people around me freaking out, then went to a bar, then back home to Osadni to watch Game 7 of the World Series until 6am!
Yesterday, Kelsey and I went on a walk through the park (hence the fall foliage pictures), talked about spooky things, and took pictures of the trees. Then, we had a big potluck dinner with the girls down the hallway with lots of roasted veggies, chicken and noodles, and an Asian egg and tomato dish. To end the night we went to the pub down the street.
Today was wonderful. Four of us got brunch, went to Petrin Park, went up the "Prague Eiffel Tower" and chilled in a wooden swing. It was a great fall day. I couldn't ask for any better. Now, I must do lots of homework and somehow come up with a costume before tomorrow night.
Cardinals, you're making me so incredibly happy! Watching the playbacks of last nights game gives me the chills. You're making me a little homesick.... But only a little.
Tonight, a big group of us are going to go see Paranormal Activity 3! More for the experience than the actual movie, then go to a bar, then watching Game 7 of the World Series!!! It's going to be another late night...
