hi, i’m e, i’m a nb/queer comics maker and my webcomic is pretty heart bouquet, a magical girl story about a trans magical girl named ginny. i make other comics/games too that you can read for free on my itch.io.
i really like making comics and i really like being able to share them for free with y’all, but as it stands, my financial situation is increasingly perilous. i’m not a student, i’m currently unemployed and just barely scraping by on commissions/the occasional freelance gig with a lot of support from my dad. i am in the process of looking for work (i moved states recently to find more opportunities in my career path) but even with a day job/etc between bills/student loans and such its very hard to keep up consistently with making new work.
my patreon functions, if you will, as a kind of tip jar. i have two tiers: $1/month, which gets you access to pretty heart pages a day early - even when they’re late - and $2+/month, which gets you that & access to the creator ‘stream’ where you can see other stuff i post, like wips, character sketches, other projects and so forth (like the examples above). in august i’m planning on releasing a freelance comic i did over the summer for $2+ supporters as well.
i try not to talk too much about ~money stuff b/c i know everyone’s having a hard time and it’s kind of a bummer, but i really can’t stress enough: if you like the work i do, please support me in doing it. i have enough followers that if even half of them gave me one dollar a month, i’d be able to pay my rent & student loans w/some left over. i know that sometimes people think that if they can’t pledge a ‘high’ amount then they shouldn’t at all - but it’s actually more helpful to have a lot of small pledges than only a couple large ones, b/c that way if someone has to withdraw, it’s not as big of an impact!
