“Why would you want to wear something you don’t like? Something with negative ties- that’s even worse. Where’d you even get a thing like that?”
“Mum wanted me to wear it. It’s a long winded and complicated story but part of me wears it as a reminder of who not to become and the other part is because I don’t have any other way to tell the time. I’m used to the memories by now.”

“Maybe she’ll leave after she finishes writing her story. I don’t know much about Journalism but surely writing one article can’t take too long.”
“I have yet to bring my work here, but I think it’ll be nice. I like comics, do you have any with you?”
“I’ve got Deadpool and Suicide Squad on me at the moment.”
“ - These plants are so lovely and it’s so peaceful here; it’s a nice break from all the work I have to do,”
“I like coming here and just reading my comics. It’s as quiet as the castle gets.”
Are you sure it’s a good idea to go outside in weather like this?

Al laughs again and takes out his wand. He casts a simple spell to clean Tate’s hands and his back (the best he can) where Tate touched him. “Did you actually like it or are you messing with me?”
“Puns are dad jokes and dad jokes are the best jokes in the world so I’m being deadly serious here.”
She furrows her eyebrows, “What makes you say that?”
He shrugs, “not much but it wasn’t my favourite thing in the world. Bad memories attached to it, that sort of thing.”
“In that case, I’m terribly sorry for your loss but I don’t think there’s any way we can restore that.”
“Eh, it was gone a long time ago anyway. I’m just really good at pretending like I have some left.”
“That statement and it’s lack of fact is… unbelievable.” She smiles, “Stop smiling.”
“I will wear heels one day and you’ll see,” he declares, holding up an imaginary sword, “why? Smiling’s good and you’re trying not to smile right now, I can tell.”
“Your efforts have been noted,” she laughed. “You’re not hurt, are you?”
“Slight loss of dignity but nothing new.”
“And I think you are a total dork.”
“No arguments here. I’m a total dork and super proud of it.”
Al laughs. “A horrible ex-pee-rience, huh?” He smiles. “Sorry.”
Tate laughs, patting Al on the back, “nah that was really good, mate!”
She smiles, “I really do, actually. Why are we talking about heels again?”
“Because I’d just look flawless in them.”
“Oh, Tate, you’re not mad?”
“Not a big deal, kinda glad it’s broken.”
“Well, I refuse to crash and burn for a guy, but alright.”
“I’d totally be worth it though.”
“I’m not letting her back in my life.”
“Okay, it’s your choice.”
