“I can’t believe I’m saying this, I feel like a tea-traitor… but could you pass the coffee please?”
“Sometimes caffeine is the only cure”
“No excuse for not being bright and attentive, if anything it condemns you by showing us you were drinking last night. So, up and at ‘em!”
“I don’t drink sir I’m just knackered”
“Well, I’ve certainly felt a hell of a lot better.”
“Kinda comes with the party territory”
“I miss the days where people would try and hit on me. Does everything think I’m dating someone or something? I’m very much single, ladies and gentleman.”
“hadn’t heard anything either way to be honest”
“What did you just say?”
“Good morning”
“God, this headache’s horrible - do you have any parchment? I seem to have forgotten mine.”
Trevor chuckles and slides a piece of parchment over “have fun at the party, then?”
“You can just give me a piggy back right, right?” Harmony teased and kissed him quickly on the cheek with a grin, “What were you doing? Spying on me?”
“sure I can but it’d make holding your hand kinda tricky” Trevor smiles, his gaze darting back down to is feet for a moment “not really. Just sorta... Hanging out in the library a little more”
“Who is she then?”
“Emma Mclaggen. Who’s yours?”
“That’s very true as well,” Harmony replied. This was definitely a moment of deja vu for the both of them except it was different this time. They were together now. She laughed as she noticed him looking down at his feet, “Honestly, Trev, don’t worry about stepping on my toes. I don’t mind. Besides, I can try and keep my toes out of the way,” She teased. She raised an eyebrow, “You gotta tell me which book it was. I don’t know if I’ve read it? Although I probably have. I’m just curious.”
“I’ll worry anyway” Trevor laughs “if I hurt your feet the walk will be ruined” he explains “no you’v read it, I took it from the library after I saw you put it back”
“Alright well, I’ll look for both of them later. I’ll leave them to it,” Tanner replied, “Have you met your Secret Santa yet?”
“’Hah, nope. Got my presents for mine though, if I don’t find her I’ll just owl it or something”
“I’m pretty okay, actually. Everything’s going great with Gayle. With Tessa, not so much but I’ll get there. Have you seen her here? Or Gayle? I can’t seem to find either of them thanks to these masks. Or anyone really.”
“I’m pretty sure I saw Tessa talking to a person who could only be Jimi, so she’s here somewhere. Not seen Gayle though, I’m sure she’s here somewhere”
“Deal,” Harmony replied with a grin. It was the more believable of the stories. She didn’t mind if only she knew the real reason he was dancing, “You could step on my toes all night and I wouldn’t mind. It’s perfect as long as it’s with you, remember?” She laughed for a third time and shook her head, “I loved the tower breakfast but any plan that involves you offering to dance instead of the other way around tops most things, don’t you think? But I did admire the sticky notes idea. It was very creative.”
“No one will believe you if you tell them I asked anyway” Trevor smirks, leading her onto the dance floor and wrapping one arm around her waist. It’s all very dejavu, but what’s great is that this time if he wants to kiss her he just will. He keeps having to glance down to make sure he isn’t actually stepping on her toes as they dance “I can’t take any credit for the idea- lifted it right out of a book”
“I’m alright. These eclairs are amazing actually– I definitely reccomend them.”
“Ive already eaten like every cauldron cake in sight I think I’m gonna hold off for a bit”
“Well good because I like you too, Trev,” Harmony said in a matter-of-fact tone. She giggled once more as he made his offer in the posh way. Her delighted smile transformed into an impressed one, “Is the Trevor Nott offering to dance without having to be persuaded?” She teased before taking one of his hands, “It sounds wonderful, Trevor. And you thought you couldn’t top a breakfast picnic on the top of the Astronomy Tower.”
“My one stipulation is that you let me tell people you forced me to dance” Trevor responds with a smile “I can’t not ask you to dance when you look so pretty, it’d be unfair. Just let me know when you’re sick of me stepping on your feet” he’s not sure when he got to be so corny- maybe it was when he realized how much it made Harmony’s face light up. “this tops tower breakfast? Really? Oh, you clearly have no idea how expensive sticky notes are those days”
“Well that makes sense. You guys were close friends for a long time.”
“So anyway, that’s me. What about you?”
“Oh well, hello. Are you enjoying yourself, Trev?”
“Yeah, it’s great! What about you? Eclaires any good?”
“That’s fantastic, mate! I’m so happy for you.”
“It’s weird. But that’s mostly because... It’s not weird?”
