I fell in love with a tree.
It happens to me all the time. I’m hiking along soaking up the odours of the trail… Around these parts it’s often whiffs of thyme and rosemary. I’ll be minding my own business, maybe even singing, when I look up and it hits me in the chest. A tree that has some kind of magical presence. Perhaps it’s a bit like people. You feel it or your don’t. It’s hard to say what it is that makes one particular tree stick out more than the rest fop the forest but it generally comes down to presence. Like it dominates that space somehow - not always by size. Sometimes there’s a kind of poetry to the curves in its branches. Sometimes the trunk has a magical texture to it. This one was delicate and curved in its demeanour. It was love at first sight. And it had caught the last few rays of sunset as I came across it on my walk. AVAILABLE
